The Inner Side Of Church Worship, by Father Geoffrey Hodson (1886 - 1983) www.global.org/Pub/GH_Inner_Side_of_Church_Worship.asp
A church is a magnetic centre, established at a certain point on the surface of the globe, at which special conditions have been created to permit of the free passage of power, life, and consciousness from the spiritual to the material level, and from the material back to the spiritual.
Ideally, every man should provide within himself these conditions, but at the present stage of human evolution only those who have advanced far ahead of their race are able to achieve this end. The ideal before each worshipper is that, dispensing with the necessity for an external church, he should himself become a church in miniature, bearing the power, life, and consciousness of God to man, and the love, adoration, worship, and service of man to God.
Substitute church for temple - Freemasons are said to be erecting a beautiful temple, not made with hands ... What is the REAL work of Freemasons? ..might this essay give us some useful insights to the workings of a Freemasonic lodge?

In modern parlance we might say that for some purposes the lodge/church functions as a router connecting the cosmic network to the local network.

I have always thought and sensed that. I have seen some amazing 'health recoveries' in particular after lodge meetings. I have seen the flowers which are in a lodge room during a meeting last way beyond their normal life span. So for me something truly beneficial is happening in there.
Trouble is that this sort of information re Freemasonry is hard to pass on to others who have not experienced it. I guess that might be one of the so called 'secrets' of Freemasonry one has to discover for one's self.
I would be very interested to hear fitviavi's thoughts on this subject. His Freemasonry is not so openly esoteric as ours even though I am led to believe that our rituals do not differ to a great extent.

PS... and his Brn, like ours, seem to live to ripe old ages... all flowers in their own rite?

If the microcosmic Temple can be within, might not the pillars at the porch or entrance be ..... legs? Do we sacrifice power, love and wisdom if we don't measure up? Might these seven be considered as officers of our lodge?

The word ‘chakra’ is derived from a Sanskrit word meaning ‘wheel’. Chakras are our energy centres. Each of these centres corresponds to an area of the body, certain behavioural characteristics and stages of spiritual growth. Chakras are whirling concentrated energy centres that receive, assimilate and express life force energy. Chakras draw in Divine life-force energy from the Universe and distribute this vital energy to the physical glands and organs in the body and through the bloodstream and nervous system for optimum health and well-being.
There are 7 chakras or energy points located within our physical bodies. They are the openings for life energy to flow into and out of our aura. Their function is to vitalize the physical body and to bring about the development of our self-consciousness. They are associated with our physical, mental and emotional interactions. Good health and well-being is achieved by a balance of all these energies.
Balancing your Chakras
Chakras are like the power stations of our body, bringing it to life, and keeping it healthy. The chakras absorb energy that comes from our thoughts, feelings and outside environment and feed this to our body. Our body is affected by the quality of the energy that passes through the chakras. For instance, if we have negative feelings, we will be filtering negative energy through our chakras and into our body. Over time this can affect our physical body. Chakras also absorb energy from the environment around us. We can absorb energy from other people’s negative emotions or from a room full of clutter.
We cannot avoid coming into contact with negative energy or feeling down sometimes, but there is a lot that we can do to change our feelings from negative to positive and to protect ourselves from harmful energy in the environment. Keeping our chakras in tip-top condition is the key, in other words keeping them spinning in balance. Chakra balancing is a bit like spring-cleaning the chakras and fine-tuning them. Balancing your chakras improves your health and wellbeing, physically, mentally and emotionally.
We can influence our chakras, our health, and our lives by using different techniques such as:
Energy Healing, such as Reiki, Bio Energy, or Pranic Healing Practicing Yoga Conscious breathing Physical exercises Meditation or guided visualisation Positive thinking Using positive Affirmations

Kundalini (see chakras) is known as the Serpent power, is considered feminine and is sometimes referred to as the divorced woman ...
Note that the Pharoah has raised that serpent power to his crown chakra. Thus kingship represents perfected man.

What about this head dress? Man has raised himself up from being ruled by the four base elements and has seen the light?

The chakra beings can certainly be regarded as officers in the temple of the human body. This provides a direct analogy to the temple in the heavens because the human body is an Adam Kadmon type body.

My dear Brothers and Sisters, If I may add, no esoteric work is worth anything without real application. If you want to feed someone you have to get the skillet out. Dig the symbols www.youtube.com/watch?v=ec0XKhAHR5I
