My preparation or lack thereof isn't really the issue.
I happen to know that phantom limbs are really aspects of other dimensional beings that are taking over the human body buy can only do so a little at a time as the human body is destroyed. But the victim has to be at least 33 years old, like the 33 degrees of the Scottish Rite, and only those degrees can protect you.
Flying to the moon, testing, experimenting, and direct (and reproducable) observation then put into language that is meant to be understood instead of being designed as a backhand.

Flying to the moon wasn't done on a whim, it was planned down to last millimetre, and from ancient texts, from which we knew we could have flight, and we knew excatly where we wanted to land
May I suggest for reading " Who built the Moon"

My preparation or lack thereof isn't really the issue. I wasn't referring to you brandt re the preparedness... it was meant to be generally speaking. My mother is nowhere near learning that I am a Freemason And heaven help me if the fundamentalist side of the family find out I have never heard that before, interesting. Although I have long suspected that possession of dying bodies might well explain the shocking language and behaviour of some of the elderly who are dying and whose minds are 'jumping ship'. This even happens to people who were known as gentle, loving and kind, never a swear word etc. I was rather inclined to believe the 33 refers to the spinal column (our tree trunk?) which has 33 bones. The base of the spine is called the sacrum and curves up to the peak which is the crown. A bit like a bishop's crook don't you think? The following excerpt from The Tao of Physics summarizes Capra's motivation for writing this book.
Science does not need mysticism and mysticism does not need science, but man needs both. – (epilogue) The Tao of Physics is a MUST read for serious students of both mysticism and science. One can view it as a translation book of sorts. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Tao_of_Physics

The Tao of Physics can be a good book if there is actual study of science, not soundbites fitted into a convenient idea.
I need no evidence that evil spirits are taking over human bodies. I know it.

Remember all those stories one heard about saints literally 'wrestling' with 'the devil'? Just googled to see if I could find one quickly... here is Padre Pio's experience... www.rense.com/general26/padrepio.htmthere are many others. Ghost encounters sometimes include physical violence.

And wrestling with elohim 24 And Jacob is left alone, and one wrestleth with him till the ascending of the dawn; 25 and he seeth that he is not able for him, and he cometh against the hollow of his thigh, and the hollow of Jacob's thigh is disjointed in his wrestling with him; 26 and he saith, 'Send me away, for the dawn hath ascended:' and he saith, 'I send thee not away, except thou hast blessed me.' 27 And he saith unto him, 'What is thy name?' and he saith, 'Jacob.' 28 And he saith, 'Thy name is no more called Jacob, but Israel; for thou hast been a prince with God and with men, and dost prevail.' 29 And Jacob asketh, and saith, 'Declare, I pray thee, thy name;' and he saith, 'Why is this, thou askest for My name?' and He blesseth him there. 30 And Jacob calleth the name of the place Peniel: for 'I have seen God face unto face, and my life is delivered;' yltbible.com/genesis/32.htmNote that God (literally: elohim) here is physical, not very strong and does not seem to know Jacob's name. "and one wrestleth with him" - the use of the term "one" may indicate that the scribe is unwilling to identify the actor. In the NT a similar usage is: a certain man.

I'm not all that sure that Jacob is a real person, maybe he is a personification. Sefer HaLikutim, parashat VaYechi
Know that there are three aspects to Jacob. The first is indicated by the name Ya’akov written as it usually is, without a vav. The second is indicated by the name Ya’akov written with a vav, as in the verse, “And I will remember My covenant with Jacob.” The third is indicated by Jacob’s other name, Israel. Ya’akov is usually written yud-ayin-kuf-beit. In rare cases, a vav is inserted between the last two letters to indicated the “o”-vowel.
These three names allude to the three aspects of his soul, nefesh, ruach, and Neshamah. The nefesh is the vital, animating soul, the life-force of the body. The ruach is the emotional aspect of the soul, and the neshamah is the intellectual aspect of the soul.
The nefesh is indicated by the name Ya’akov written without the vav. The ruach is indicated by the name Ya’akov written with the vav. The neshamah is indicated by the name Israel. The numerical value of the letter vav is six, indicating the six emotions.
As you already know, these three are considered one collective entity. We do not normally experience three entities operating within our consciousness; the division into three aspects reflects the way the soul develops and manifests itself within us.

Can't help but think that these three might really stuff us around if they don't agree and work as one. Maybe we all lose the genuine secret when we are born into physical life.. ?

Do we have 5 senses, 6 or even 7 and more? Can we only count the number we can comprehend or contemplate?
It seems that divisions suit the arguments of the time.

I seem to recall Blavatsky, writing before 1900, saying that no Masonic lodges still held the genuine secrets. That statement seems to allow that individual brethren did hold them.
It also suggests that the genuine secrets were lost in historical times.

It also suggests that the genuine secrets were lost in historical times. What if Blavatsky was wrong? I like her work, but not everyone is 100% correct 100% of the time. Can you think of other individuals (of reliable character and who are not parroting HPV) who say the same thing? Is this opinion held by the learned in other cultures? Genuine question, I really don't know.

Shall I say that Blavatsky's primary sponsor is well known to you?

My reading of it is that individual brethren may possess what a lodge does not.

So what is the purpose of a lodge then. The "secrets" are not there.

I believe they are in plain sight, but the knowledge to interpret (or see them) is lost to most - but only because they do not follow every clue to the enth degree.
Mention aliens for example.. people laugh... mention seeing angels... they laugh... mention seeing ghosts... they laugh... mention moving things with the mind... they laugh.
People laugh a lot at things they don't understand.

So what is the purpose of a lodge then. The "secrets" are not there. A good question. In the absence of an answer many lodges decline and close. Still, however, an attentive brother may use the ritual to progress towards the genuine secrets.

I believe they are in plain sight, but the knowledge to interpret (or see them) is lost to most .. The secrets are operational and relational but very few brethren are prepared to put in the effort to develop the necessary skills and connections. Now if I were to hazzard a guess this may be why I have unintentionally created so much controversy in the masonic world (well one reason anyway). If you go back 8+ years now when I was little known outwith tfm, there were two broad types of mason who interacted with me - in real life not on tfm). The first told me that I was "the one" etc, and that it would be a wise mason who listened to me etc, or who simply listened intently to me themselves, or who corresponded with me as an equal. While the second told me in no uncertain terms that I knew nothing about masonry, that they would defend themselves if I disturbed their apple cart, and that I wasn't masonic material, even being called a false prophet in a pub on GQS (next to UGLEs HQ). This divergency of opinion confused me somewhat. So with the benefit of hindsight I would guess that some masons were of the opinion that I had, or at last was beginning to, access the lost secrets of masonry from the outside. While others did not like me doing so, while some wondered what this has to do with masonry as they knew it. Funny old world.

Would you care to define "operational and relational?"
