If the soul can leave before physical death, can the soul arrive later than physical birth? What symptoms might we see? The soul can leave before physical death. There may be some cases where the soul arrives after physical birth. A person would not function normally until it arrives.

BA ( soul ) cometh not until KA ( body ) is incarnate. When the mothers cord is cut the blue cord connects to the new born. Bringing the soul, activating or connecting it with the astral.

Your question is in the form "do I have an X". However you do not define X.
Personally I find that defining and describing the human soul is very difficult.
I have no way of knowing how accurate my concept of the soul may be.
However, after reading the answers posted here I can tell you that Some of the concepts expressed here are very different from mine.

>I find that defining and describing the human soul is very difficult. "In Ancient Egypt, they believed that the human spirit was made up of five parts: The Ib, Sheut, Ren, Ba, and Ka. Although all five were of importance, the Ba and Ka are of major significance. The Ba is the most similar to the western idea of the soul, and the Ka is closely tied to it." kingtutone.com/ancient-egypt/ba-ka/www.reshafim.org.il/ad/egypt/religion/body_and_soul.htm"According to the Pyramid Text #474 the akh, Ax belongs to the heaven, the corpse to the earth. The body is buried while the akh, the Shining One, ascends to the sky, becoming a star. It comes into being when ba and ka unite" www.reshafim.org.il/ad/egypt/religion/body_and_soul.htmIn the Kabbalah "*Nefesh-This part of the soul is considered with the lowest level of the soul, and is something animal-like. The nefesh concerns itself with physical desire and instinct. *Ruach-This is the middle level of the soul and translates as "spirit." The ruach is the part of the soul which can distinguish between good and evil. *Neshama-This aspect of the soul is specific to man and elevates him above other forms of life. Through the neshama, we realize our intellect and attain the awareness of God. The neshama lives on after death." Later literature contains: "*Chaya-This is the aspect of the soul that gives one the consciousness of the divine life force. *Yechida-This is the highest level the soul can reach. The soul achieves full union with God." www.safed.co.il/kabbalah-and-the-inner-spirit.htmlThere is a close relationship between the Egyptian and the Kabbalistic concepts as we might expect. In the AAB writings the soul body is formed on subplanes 5.1, 5.2 and 5.3. The soul intelligence (solar angel) comes from outside the planet - and departs as the human makes contact with yet higher planes. a406.proboards.com/thread/973/21-steps-enlightenment

>When the mothers cord is cut the blue cord connects to the new born
I am not sure how universal is that proposition.
I observed my first born fairly carefully from the moment of fertilization. The soul made contact into the uterus and later moved the contact point so that the energy flow came through the kidney area.
After he was born he had colic most nights. I observed the "high tide" mark of the soul energy gradually move down from the head. When it reached his intestines at about 9 months, his colic ceased immediately.
That is the only case I observed in detail. He may have been unusual. He was in some other respects.

However, after reading the answers posted here I can tell you that Some of the concepts expressed here are very different from mine. Would you like to outline your concepts? Well, gee, that's just it. I don't have a good concept of the soul. Or of the spirit for that matter. I can barely discuss these things because I don't have a solid concept of what they are. I realize that that who "I am" (whatever that means) is influenced in ways that are beyond my conscious comprehension. But I don't have a clear picture of what these influences are and whether they come from parts of myself that I am not in touch with or if they are external to my being. Honestly I wish I did understand. Maybe the world would make more sense to me. Maybe I wouldn't always be searching for some part of me that feels lost.

There are various intelligences within a human system, including a coordinating intelligence for each chakra. The chakra intelligences (often nature spirits) may be fragmented if carrying trauma including from past lives.
Thus the intelligence of the sacral chakra operates the subconscious aspects of the physical body. It can be trained - e.g. to ride a bicycle.
There is an intelligence that runs the solar plexus chakra and the emotional system - both conscious and subconscious. Often this intelligence is damaged and/or not under systematic control by the human.
The intelligence running the mental chakra is commonly divided in two, particularly in unenlightened humans. Thus the lower intelligence operates the mental body on subplanes 5.7 to 5.4. This intelligence is motivated by its own survival. This usually revolves around its self-esteem.
The energy of the lower mental body is particularly focused around the head from the eyes downward. The lowest frequencies go through the lower jaw. Dense thoughts often result in jaw tension and grinding teeth. Chewing gum may be a useful therapy - although that may well disturb the digestion.
The higher mind, is focused around the forehead and there is both a nature spirit operating the higher mind, to the extent that the human is conscious on those levels, and a higher entity that ensouls the higher mind until the human can relate to yet more subtle levels of existence.
It is this higher entity that is commonly referred in Western esoterics as the soul (intelligence). The soul body is formed from the substance of 5.3 to 5.1.
The above description is consistent with my own experience and activities over some decades - but I dare say that at some stage I will revise my views.

It may be of interest to note that "the point within the circle" is the naming of a trans-human chakra.
There are also lower energy points called "the point within the square" and "the point within the triangle".
This last appears in modified form as an eye within a triangle. This combines the chakra with reference to an ancient god that had "an uplifted eye" above his house that "scanned all the lands".

I think the eye within the triangle, above a pyramid structure, appears on American dollar bills.

>When the mothers cord is cut the blue cord connects to the new born I am not sure how universal is that proposition. Would a child still in the womb need their own spiritual chord ? Due to the mother having her spiritual cord and the baby having a physical cord attached within which feeds from the mother, wouldnt the baby be feeding from both but not having their own spiritual cord as it would be growing within the mother energy field so to speak which would provide energy to the embryonic fluid for the child's growth. So to simplify or sum up what is meant. We know that a mother often weakens during pregnancy as the baby feeds from her, so wouldn't it also feed from her astral energies which sustains the mothers life. And not needing their own until they are separated both physically and spiritually

>wouldnt the baby be feeding from both but not having their own spiritual cord I am no expert on this and have made only a few observations, but when looking for a human pregnancy I listen for two inner sounds - the mother and the child. This works with at least some animals. Then I look for a stream of light descending more or less parallel next to the woman. From a small sample it seems typically to come down the left side of the woman. This stream seems to come from the incoming soul and to some extent from the group soul. Initially the stream anchors up through the vagina but soon after enters close to the mother's kidneys - often causing an ache in the lower back. > so wouldn't it also feed from her astral energies which sustains the mothers life. Usually the term astral energies is used to refer to the emotional plane, while the soul in the Western esoteric tradition refers to the higher mental body and its attendant intelligence. It is however largely correct to say that the mother provides much of the etheric substance for the child as well as a good part of the emotional substance. Remember that the indwelling intelligence of the child's emotional body is rarely from the mother, but is commonly inherited from a deceased relative. This has the advantage that the child feels emotionally familiar to most of the relatives. After the child is born, for perhaps a year it voraciously absorbs etheric substance from the parents, based largely on physical contact. If there have been miscarriages or infant deaths, it seems not uncommon that some of the associated intelligences attach to a surviving sibling. I think this is why physical contact with both parents is especially important for infants in the very early years. Spirit Releasement Therapy Technique looks like a good healing remedy.

Thank you for the correction in regards to astral and ethereal, ethereal was what was meant.

Can you define at which stage you noticed this , was it at birth, conception or some time into the pregnancy?

I'd say conception would be appropriate.
