In a Masonic context the 2 points are placed under or on a square.
Arrange the items in various ways and see if there is energy present for some arrangements.
Probably better not to use a plastic square. Metal or wood is more effective.
The compasses are dividers.

I was talking to my son about the square and compass, and what freemasons are since we happened to be standing across the street from a very well built lodge. In doing so I said, a compass is the easiest and most accurate way to draw a circle, and a square is the easiest and most accurate way to draw and square.
So this is a circle to a square, 1 sided to 4 sided. What about the 2 and 3 sided shapes I asked myself. The only other tool in the symbol is the G. Then again there is plenty of reference to God with triangles, and also lines or paths. Not being a mason myself I wonder, do you have a tool to make a triangle? Or just the square and compass to make angles?

Thanks FM! This does seem to be a most efficient way to draw a triangle.
What I have done is start with a base line, lets say 2 inches. Then 1/2 way in or 1 inch measurement I draw a super faint line straight up 2 inches, since I know I wont need more then that. Then from either side of the base line I can line up the ruler to the middle line at the 2 inch mark and draw the line. This leaves very little to erase, and for most of my drawing any mark on the paper where it should be white, will show up no matter how well I erase it. So im always careful making any lines or marks.
Some thoughts to add on this. I also noticed though that the "line" changes in accordance with making shapes.
In the circle each direction is equal, depicted in a 1 sided shape and never grows or shrinks.
The line is only equal on two sides, no matter its length. Depicted as a 2 sided shape, it has no structure to give it a beginning or end.
The triangle gives more options. Giving the line different lengths within the shape.
In this is what I noticed something. The line titled "h" in this pic, and what I called the center line is shorter then the outer defining lines. The north and south line or the journey within isn't equal to the others that make the body. The only way to make them equal is to produce the 2 inch lines 4 times, making them into a square.
This would allow north, south, east, and west, equal to each other, and when venturing between the points of the compass we are able to go beyond our current length(points A to C, is longer then points A to B). So this would be two inches from base line to top center in one body/shape. When we have ventured enough between the major points of the compass, the center line must grow again. If done equally I believe this would the next shape in this progression as a octagon.
Now depicting that our options within our total choices have grown and with less variance between points, and our growth is still true to the compass. I believe this would continue onto 16 sided, 32, etc... but is basically making the variances of the center line less extensive to the fluctuation of moving from one end to the other. Allowing our inner journey easier to manage, and also gives our "enlightenment" as reaction.

>The only other tool in the symbol is the G.
I consider the use of the G with the Square and Compasses to be a late and decorative addition. The G seems to have no function with the S&G and is supposed to be hung from the ceiling in the center of the temple.
> What about the 2 and 3 sided shapes I asked myself.
Operative masons seem to have used a rope with 12 equally spaced knots by which they could make a 3-4-5 triangle and thus an accurate right angle.

Not the letter perhaps but if used as a reference to God is there? Like maybe the mason is a tool of God's hand, or something similar to this. I guess this would be harder to incorporate into this thought. Just seems like G is a funny way to symbolize God, atleast seems like it might mean something else too.
Hmmm that is a bit odd then the rope didn't make it into the symbols then. A two sided shape used to make a 3 sided shape and also leads to right angles like the square. This seems to be a fairly close match to the order of shapes and numbers. Or perhaps was meant to be saved as part of the lessons, and filling in the blanks between the 1 sided shape to squared.

Now that I think about it I have seen masonic symbols with the rope in it, but now im looking for one I cant find any. In most done with the S&C and G the G is in such a pattern to usualy be inside or above a triangle.
Most done with the pillars make a triangle from the top of the pillars to the eye. I found this one though with the G instead of the eye. Although It is seeming the eye and G seem to be interchangeable, as people have used either in that position.

I am thinking more on the two sided shape. The line very early in my theories I found most connection to a single person, also the same shape as 1. When I think about how to express this shape I most often see an image like a man walking toward a light with the shadow straight in line(centered), to make a "|" shape within the light. Much like the image of walking into the light or walking the path of light.
^best pic I could find to making a line out of a person within the path of light.

I felt a little better explanation is needed, as I might not have represented the thoughts to the line well enough.
The 1 I would refer to as one person.
There is also "I" and same with lower case "i", the I also means 1 in roman numerals.
Saying I (fill in the blank) is offering a window to yourself, like an unseen eye into their inner person. Saying the two different words have the same sound. Perhaps something has changed in the meanings from all the translations from then to now, and even then they had different symbols for the same meaning depending on the culture its coming from. -------------------
About 5 years ago I had a memory of watching sesame st. and being captivated by a video and what it made me feel (posted on a masonic site no longer active).
I remember even at the young age of 7 or 8 I felt a connection between I and eye, with my parents telling me they are different spelling and mean different things. I even remember wanting to argue the points that there was also the "eye in the sky" as seen on the dollar bill and other stories, and was like God always watching us. I think I mentioned I had a hard time making eye contact then, and a grown up had asked me why. I told them how thoughts come flooding into my head, they told me the phrase "the eyes are a window to the soul". I was wondering then the connection of the "eye" in the sky to the individual "I". My parent just said "maybe", as they figured it probably wasn't connected.
I have also noticed the masonic "eye" usually portrays a point of some kind being right to the pupil.

So new revision would be
eye : point
compass : circle
an individual person(?) : line
G : triangle
square : square

Going in line with tools in extension of the shape, I have noticed the ruler in many pictures here. This would be a line shape that typically has two sides to measure with. I think this would fit better then an individual person.

What happens when you step into the scene?

Imagining myself replacing the man wasn't quite what I expected. instead of replacing him with myself, he turned and faced me. I inquired to his road block and he pointed left and right. From earlier conversations I chose to do it again from his right, seeing the light shine on him from the right with the shadow extending out to the left. I could go up to him infront or anywhere around him at this point. The face seemed kind of funny looking in the light though, the definition was pale and simplistic lines like a cartoon almost or plastic.

I kept finding it odd the face I inspected had closed eyes like it was realy bright or windy and a huge smile, almost like someone winces in a strong wind. It kept seeming familiar to me though and VERY familiar at that. Then I remembered where I had seen that face, just about every Chinese food restaurant I have ever been too.
This pic is almost exactly what his face looked like.

How closely has the typical FM looked at what is at> Coral Castle is a stone structure created by the Latvian American eccentric Edward Leedskalnin (1887–1951) north of the city of Homestead, Florida in ...< www.youtube.com/watch?v=amXsPcD7g5g What this Free Mason did, and his stated reason why he built Coral Castle And the fact that he said he knew the Egyptians secrets of how they tapped the energy to do what they did and for him to replicate things like they were said to have done?
Holy cow! That's quite something! Even more so no one caught him in the act of moving multi ton fragile stones to outrageous heights. It did also appear to be cut the same way as Egyptian stones were. Very cool castle, thanks Fox. Ed obviously figured something out.
