The tops seem to be part of another structure obscured by clouds. This may well suggest another temple above the earthly temple
Now consider
Again there are improperly large structures on the top of the columns and now with 3 figures traditionally KST, HA and HKT. What a strange arrangement it is for the 3 principal officers to be standing on columns instead of being on the floor of the temple.
Could it be that those GM are actually representing officers in a higher (heavenly) temple?
If so, the identities cannot be literal and we have to look more deeply to discover the identity of the officers in the (nearest) temple in the heavens
Both the TBs below speak an enormous amount of esoteric symbolism. As we meditate on the TB we learn to understand our own connections with the Temple in the Heavens through the pillars of Wisdom, Strength and Beauty.
It is comforting to rest in the knowledge that those GM are in our hearts and a part of us. When we take those offices in the lodge we receive and utilise their energy for the good of humanity.
Distant peaks emerge....clear as day. The hermit's lantern turns to guide the way. Hermit's Way - F. J. Rogers
Well the top TB is very clearly indicating that there is "more than the eye can see".
The other board indicates that same thing in a different manner, but goes further in suggesting that intelligent entities/individuals are part of the unseen.
Jacobs ladder has always been the symbol of communication with beings on a higher level than ourselves.
My question would be whether 'higher' in this context refers to higher physical worlds as in stars or planets, or whether the 'higher' indicates more pure subtle realms of existence, sometimes referred to as the Elysium Fields, Avalon, Heavenly Realms, etc
As above, so below - I guess both scenarios could be correct.
Solomon... Sol - Om - On all mean Sun which is the physical symbol for Spirit.
Hiram - Huram - Chiram... are all the same. I will need to do some searching on that name.

The Salmon of Wisdom might relate to the annedotus (repulsive ones) who were amphibious beings led by Oannes (Jonah) who would come from the sea each dawn to teach the sciences, agriculture, culture etc.

Great link Paul! Omigosh.. has anyone ever written a history book based on the alternative explanations for biblical events? Reckon we could give it a go? I need a good retirement plan and I'm already at that age ...
I have always thought that Jonah was in a submarine vehicle. UFO's ? There are world wide reports of them still ascending and descending INto the seas. Bruce Cathie, retired commercial airline pilot and author of the books Harmonics 33 et al started his research career because of seeing this particular phenomenom.
The reason (?) for the shape of the Bishops' Mitre is interesting, I have already determined in my mind the reason for the shape of the Crosier.
So masonic wise, do you think that the anchor on the ladder (the symbol for Hope) is a clue to this marine connection of the past... the education these submariners gave also gave us an understanding of the nature of Life and therefore - Hope?
(Rainbows are connected to the Crosier, if my understanding of its symbolic nature is correct, and the rainbow is connected to Cosmic Consciousness)

One thing I forgot regarding the Salmon of Knowledge. In the Irish version featuring Finn McCool, the Salmon lives in a pool under the bank of the Boyne River. Overhanging this pool is the Tree of Knowledge. The nuts from the tree fall into the pool, to be eaten by the Salmon. So we have the Tree of Knowledge added to the mix of symbolism. Shades of the Garden of Eden perhaps, since Finn's Druid teacher realized that the supreme knowledge was not for him, but for his pupil? Having read all the posts I ask myself, can someone tie all the symbols together into a coherent whole?
Fascinating subject... so I have duplicated the past lot of seafaring posts to its own thread 'Something Fishy'... please continue the watery subject there and we will keep the Heavenly thing going here.
(are there any ancient illustrations of angels having tails as well as wings?)
