As we know Will expresses on many levels - each of the planes and subplanes.
What then do we know about:
- the will-to-power, - the will-to-love - the will-to-know
This question is particularly relevant to humanity at the start of this new cycle of the Mayan calendar when the foundations for change need to be chosen with care.
As we know Will expresses on many levels - each of the planes and subplanes.
What then do we know about:
- the will-to-power,
It can enable darkness fast. Truth be told the more that I understand about power the more it frightens the begeebies out of me. (law of unintended consequences, multiplying and magnitude effects, darkness enabling, etc)
- the will-to-love
Can be eye opening
- the will-to-know
Can aid personal growth enormously.

Assuming that you knowingly consiously choose. If you are following your heart you might just stumble and bumble your way there (on a physical level).
I would like to hear more about the will to know. I rather suspect that it involves courage.
All I can tell you LorrB is that it starts like an itch, an inquisitve itch, and moves on at increasing pace as you delve deeper seeing connections and interconnections and taking tangents for enjoyment. In time you get, I guess to where I got, understanding both my cog in the system and indeed also an overview of the system, both micro and macro so to speak. When you boil it all down you learn to follow your heart, face your fears, and learn from your mistakes. When all is siad and done you can se th ebeauty of life and how it gives you everything you need in the daily drudgery we all face. Wisdom, strength and beauty take on new meanings/perspectives/understanding. As with most things the more you put in the more you get out - I did some challenging things for me along the way, in one case taking half a decade to face and surmount a specific fear (heights).
I found it a good approach to answer the eternal questions and gain personal knowledge of things that conventonal wisdom would say are unknowable.
Some unexpected things fall out of it, for while I am still adamant that war is wrong, I can now see how a good military training could equip you to get to where I got in terms of esoteric growth. When I realised that value to military service I paused for thought. Doubt many soldiers have the time to think about esoterics though.
>I can now see how a good military training could equip you to get to where I got in terms of esoteric growth.
In my youth I lived in a spiritual community where, in the early days, most of the leaders were ex-military - that being where group relations were most carefully taught.
There was a certain amount of criticism of pacifists. It was important to choose between light and dark and contribute to the struggle.
But which side was light and which was dark (depends on which side you are on), so this is partially a matter of perspective and more significantly a diversion away from the real issue.
Do you feed darkness or illuminate it out of the way? It may be that the pacifists had the right idea, but were simply so overwhelmed by the forces of darkness, given the stage of human evolution at the time.
It might just be that pacifists were actively on the side of light by forcing thought, then and now.
>which side was light and which was dark (depends on which side you are on), so this is partially a matter of perspective
Technically Light is the increasing attribute of entities returning to the Source of All and Darkness is the increasing attribute of entities extending into separation and density.
Hopefully that distinction is not a matter of perspective.
Entities may have proper functions in either Light or Dark, and some entities may inappropriately cross into the other stream. Thus the perception of Right and Wrong is dependent upon the entity's natural function.
