When I became a Freemason, I wondered in particular what was meant by the following:
Endue him with a competency of Thy divine wisdom that, assisted by the secrets of our masonic art, he may the better be enabled to unfold the beauties of true godliness.
I suddenly realised that I was being made a promise. A promise that, assisted by the secrets of masonry, real secrets of meaning, not passwords and signs, I could set out on a path of understanding, or science, of the divinity, not some abstract divinity removed from my proper understanding, but the divinity already resident in myself.
Words penned by a masonic friend of mine ...
Any thoughts? Unfolding, veils related?
Our birth is but a sleep and a forgetting…trailing clouds of glory do we come from God, who is our home -Wordsworth
I have seen similar events where a structured light migrates from on high into a targeted human. In some of those events the energy structure looks like a cube. I refer to those as "skill cubes"
Skill cubes can be also be created by human initiates - for example to leave structured teachings if there is likely to be a gap of several generations.

Those words were written while I was still a member of ugle. Lauderdale ritual actuall says ". . . that he may in due time attain unto Wisdom; and that - assisted by the secrets of this our Masonic Art - he may display the beauty of Divine Humanity and co-operate with the Suprene Will in evolution". I regard the difference as important. But thank you for using my article/talk.

Indeed, whicle I would use dfferent terminology, the energy left behind from days gone by have acted as wonderful signposts and keys for me in my own development. As you know I just stumbled upon them, so they do work, and I now understand that those that were hidden in the masonic world are one of the reasons why there has been a partial mismatch in my relationship with the masonic world.

Cooperating with the Supreme Will in evolution is one of the most beautiful things imaginable. However, and this did suprise me, to do it, the focus must be on balance and harmony while progressing (as opposed to staying firmly in comfort zones) and this implies balancing dark and light. Yet to get anywhere near there you have to have found the light and nurtured it and swept darkness far away. So while it can seem like backtracking it isn't.
While I know little of the actual context of it I always think of it like a mason walking to the East, being as good a person as he or she can, finding the light, incorprating it, understanding it and living it, and then walking back illuminating the way. But on the way back the key is not more pure illumination but on balanccing dark and light, for that won't blind those you pass while inspiring the hearts of those who are ready to take another step.
It might sound a bit counterintuitive, but it makes sense to me.
At the moment we are at the complting of a cycle of life, and the only question is, to use computer game anology, do we fail and repeat the level or so we pass and move up a level of evolution. That is entirely in the hands of the human race, and while the divine wil is there to help the passing and advancement of humanity, it is far from a done deal, and a resetting could easily, and perhaps more likely, happen.
Sadly, and I mean absolutely no disrespect in this, the masonic world is no where near as ready and assisting in this process than it might think that it is. Darkness has penetrated and as I know from my own personal experience once darkness penetrates you you have to wake up to the fact and then walk yourself out of it. Large parts of the masonic world seem not only content with or blind to the penetration but positively to have decided to remain in the comfort zone, and those who talk about it can sadly get hurt. It is a crying shame, but such is, all of us have the freewill to make our own decisions and choices, but I can assure you (and I know how arrogant this must sound from a masonic reject) that any lodge that is true can access the light.
Knowing that you are ex UGLE and a spiritual man, if you are familiar with the small lodge that I understand used to be the Grand Secretaries office (has big portraits hanging on the walls), that is a lodge that has residual energy of a lot of good work having been done in it. As I was only in it for a couple of minutes on a tour I wasn't able to feel much more, sadly.
>Large parts of the masonic world seem not only content with or blind to the penetration but positively to have decided to remain in the comfort zone
Perhaps "content" is not quite exact. Many humans were conditioned in past lives (e.g. the Inquisition) to avoid conscious interaction with the inner worlds and to repudiate hidden (occult) things. Such conditioning may now be unconscious but still powerful.
There is a very pleasant staff member at a large wine & spirit merchant who conducts tastings with a regular clientele. I noticed that he is perhaps a little too eager to please and since he was willing, I asked him a few questions based on my experience with similar situations.
It turns out that he:
- does not like ticking clocks - will not use escalators - has trouble with authority.
This is a standard set of symptoms from the Inquisition.
There are related symptom sets as well including fear of punishment for astral projection. Monastic punishments were quite severe and potentially fatal.
