Moses and the Burning Bush
3 Now Moses was tending the flock of Jethro his father—in—law, the priest of Midian, and he led the flock to the far side of the desert and came to Horeb, the mountain of God. 2There the angel of the LORD appeared to him in flames of fire from within a bush. Moses saw that though the bush was on fire it did not burn up. 3So Moses thought, "I will go over and see this strange sight—why the bush does not burn up."
4 When the LORD saw that he had gone over to look, God called to him from within the bush, "Moses! Moses!" And Moses said, "Here I am."
5 "Do not come any closer," God said. "Take off your sandals, for the place where you are standing is holy ground." 6Then he said, "I am the God of your father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob." At this, Moses hid his face, because he was afraid to look at God.

King James Bible (Cambridge Ed.)
And, behold, the glory of the God of Israel came from the way of the east: and his voice was like a noise of many waters: and the earth shined with his glory.
Ezekiel 10:19 While I watched, the cherubim spread their wings and rose from the ground, and as they went, the wheels went with them. They stopped at the entrance to the east gate of the LORD's house, and the glory of the God of Israel was above them.

Compare that to the Fatima experience
Lady appears on a bush, the light comes from the East, witnesses talk about a buzzing noise occurring as the Lady responds to the children. Re the ‘miracle of the sun’ - the disc did not stay in one place, but moved in the sky. All witnesses agreed – it revolved on its axis. The most dramatic scene happened when “the sun fell down to the earth”. The whirling disc appeared to approach the earth, and its movement was very elaborate. It looked as though the disc was spinning, descending in slow zigzags, or moving down in a spiral. The movement reminded some witnesses of the fall of a dry leaf from a tree in autumn. When the disc descended so low that it looked as if was touching the tips of pine trees, a panic seized some people. Next, the disc started climbing back up at a very slow, snail-like pace, all the way to its initial position. The entire display lasted about 10 minutes.

>the disc was spinning, descending in slow zigzags
That movement is why ufos were first called flying saucers.

And here is what a scientist has to say on this phenomena... In order for the optical projection to produce a visible image, besides the source of image and the source of light, a screen is also needed. In a cinema, light from the projector falls on a white screen which scatters light back creating an image on our retina. So let us consider what could have been used as a screen in Cova da Iria. Described by many witnesses a small cloud above the tree probably functioned as a screen for the image projection. At present it is possible to project optical images on natural or artificial clouds using strong laser light. Without the cloud the clarity of the image would be very poor, and what is worse the figure could become transparent.
...
Lucia and other witnesses noticed, just before the apparitions, certain atmospheric changes. They had the feeling that the air had cooled off, and the sun was slightly dimmed, although it was not obscured by clouds blog.world-mysteries.com/science/new-light-on-fatima/

The things that all these stories have in common is the light descends at an angle, it comes from the east, there is a change in atmosphere, rainbow colours are common and there is a perceptable noise when the holy person speaks (noticed even by those who cannot see anything) and sometimes it sounds like bees buzzing.Maybe I can add a few more images at this stage.

Medjugorje is genuine but I would not necessarily see it in a religious context. In this video the woman comes into a strong flow from a deva above her. The flow emerges on 4.1 (top of the buddhic plane) and remanifests at 5.2 (love petals of the soul body) and flowing down through the persona. The deva seems to be intent upon activating human hearts. www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fbhhqs3uuTU&feature=related

I have an issue with Marian messages (and I pray to Mary).
The messages are usually threatening... love Jesus or you will suffer greatly, die, and even lose your soul for all eternity. This just does not ring true to me. It is the old trick of ruling by fear. Is the personality and belief system of the recipient of the message placing their own interpretation on the messages?
During my research last night I came across the Garabandel message part of which is about how the Catholic Church has become corrupted, but then later tells everyone they must worship Jesus - where ? in corrupted systems ?
I must do some further delving and see what divine apparitions occur in other belief systems and see what their messages are. Hmmnnn.

>messages are usually threatening Years ago I lived in a community and remember at one of the morning meditation sessions one of the members read some of her own received guidance (contrary to community rules). I put my attention to the source of the guidance and found it on 5.4 - the highest level of the personal mind. Such a level of course in humans is strongly influenced by personal will. I put my eye on the entity and it said: I will not be questioned in this way! The statement is almost exactly that made by Saruman when questioned by Gandalf. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saruman Much of what passes for guidance is not what it seems.

I take a rather smorgasbord approach to my faith. If there is a statement of belief that I can't fit into my personal belief system, it's shuttled into a box labeled "votes are still out." That is particularly true of personal revelation where the seer probably already believes what he/she is preaching, or has a vested interest in the message. That doesn't invalidate the message. We really don't have to search for truth, but we must weigh the message against its utility. If the idea is useful (not necessarily true) it can be accepted (for the time being).

I love hearing about everybodies personal experiences. Having hastily pulled the sheets over my head and prayed to every holy person that I could think of to tell the ghost/spirit (and onother one I felt) to 'go away' - I can't imagine looking one in the eye and giving it orders. I have made a determined affirmation to myself that the next time it happens I will at least ask it what it wants, but only after I make sure I have a 'deacon' by my side

If you step into the inner worlds and visualise a deacon beside you, what does it look like?
