It's not like the old days when composers like Mozart or Sibelius wrote music for our ceremonies. For some BB the ability to play the piano was a curse. They didn't have the opportunity to enter the line to the Master's chair. Instead, they meekly took their place at the piano and played for years, and years and years!
One L. in NYC solved the problem by recording the music and assigning a B. to operate the tape recorder. He or she was the musician.
The power of music may enhance the effect of a ceremony or it can be a distraction. Music has to be a secondary consideration in LL where it is difficult even to fill all the chairs. Too often we fail to appreciate the power of music in our LL.
