I am a bit reluctant to start this thread but as I have been asked to do so by someone I trust I will. While I am hesitant it will be interesting to see where it goes:
I suppose that I had better start. The people who have inspired me are many and varied and include:-
1. My children. Some of the wisest words that I have heard have come from them.
2. JK Rowling, a fellow poor person from Edinburgh (though she is now somewhat wealthy) who has been able to bring esoteric understanding to a new generation in a fun way.
3. James Cameron, for he knows how to touch hearts and how to educate esotericly in this century.
4. Some homeless people that I know, for they prove that material things have no bearing on human kindness.
5. The masonic world, though it would have to be said that equally I am also disappointed in many masons.
6. Inverness, now there is a place full of raw energy that inspires me enormously.
Esoteric inspiration is a tricky thing and often people who do it are unaware of the potent energy contained in their words and actions in life that flow through the fabric of our existence, acting like signposts directing the way for others and as keys helping some to open doors on their own journeys.
Mind you to me esoterics isnt some academic discipline, but it is part of the very fabric of our lives. I find it an absolute beauty to watch. Can scare the begeebies out of me at times (in a nice way) as I peel back another layer and see the intricate beauty of life in even more detail.
Pretty much everything in life can be boiled down to esoterics. On a sports forum recently, for example, where (the very fit and often materialistic people) tend to dislike us obese folk, I was explaining how esotericly the current "mania" about obesity wont resolve the issue, for it does not accord with the global energy connections that have combined to create the obesity phenomenon in the first place.
On the one hand I have a lot of sympathy for those who do run our world for no matter how good your esoteric knowledge is in a practical sense the law of unintended consequences, or even simply being unaware of what lies through the next door, could create unintended instabilities, but equally I do sometimes wonder how many of our high hied yins really do have a solid grasp of esoterics and how it translates into everyday mundane existence.
Still maat is slowly returning to this planet, even if many, perhaps understandably, seem to be doing their best to prevent it.
Stewart - your words 'inspire esoterically' have inspired me to ask you to start a thread on that subject. We can all add our little stories about people who have inspired us, ordinary people as well as the extraordinary people. Can you do that for us, please?
