Talking about resolution ... mine has been to get rid of the junk from the cupboards... I am a bit of a sentimental hoarder. I can't believe how hard hearted I was when tackling the job this time round.... mmmmm... Feels good!

I once had a dream rather like a "surprise party"; big double doors were opened before me, and there in front of me was everyone who had gone to "make me what I was" at that point, even the jerks and dirtbags (they were in the "front row, in fact!)! I knew that I had to "forgive and forget" in order to progress further, and let me tell you; it wasn't easy but I did it!! I woke up with a distinct sense of "peace" afterwards, so I strongly suspect it was in fact one of those 'initiatory' dreams...
Years ago I had a dream in which I would soar off the ground into the skies. Each time I returned to earth there would be a dog hanging around. I would push it away with my foot and soar off. I noticed however that each time I could not soar so high.
... but still you refer to them as jerks and dirtbags?
Curious, no?
They say Japan was made by a sword. They say the old gods dipped a coral blade into the ocean, and when they pulled it out four perfect drops fell back into the sea, and those drops became the islands of Japan. I say, Japan was made by a handful of brave men. Warriors, willing to give their lives for what seems to have become a forgotten word: honor. -The Last Samurai

Eventually I was left on the ground with the dog.
Great dream - and a lesson for us all I think.
I am going to have to go away and have a good think about what I nudge away.

About the same time I had a dream in which some people were coming to see me and I wanted to avoid them. So I ran up a small hill and could throw rocks at them better than they could at me. So they went away.
Later in the dream they came back and they went up a small hill but I went up a bigger hill and again could throw rocks better than they could.
Finally in the dream, I saw them coming and raced up a set of stairs on a large hill but there was some mechanical system attached to the stairs that they operated. The stairs collapsed and I found myself at the bottom with those people I was avoiding. And they turned out not to be so bad after all.
Some time later I had a dream in which I met a tiger and was very careful to hold my emotional body still so that it did not fear the tiger. Someone said that I was afraid of the tiger but I denied it. A little later in a dry creek bed I saw the tiger lying down and boy came past on his bike and ran over the tail of the tiger but the tiger did not pay any attention.
I would see the dry creek bed as representing the still emotional body... you and the tiger (one and the same?) were still. Disruptions by others (younger Brn) would not fuss you in that state.
I have noted over a long time how slow you are to anger. I am working to be more like you

The dry creek bed might have been a reflection of my lack of emotional flows at the time. The tiger was probably the intelligence of the solar plexus chakra (the emotional subconscious).
The dream demonstrated that I did not need to be so worried about holding down emotional energies.
It might be worth reading up on the tarot card 'The Fool' and the relevance of the dog there depicted. Dreaming is our unconscious wanderings on a higher plane. Being aware that one is dreaming whilst one is dreaming is the first stage of a technique called True Dreaming. If this is practised, it is then possible to control our dream states enabling us to travel further (and much higher) in the astral planes. Eventually, the dream state becomes a doorway to the highest realms of ones being - the presence of God within. This isn't to be entered upon lightly and may take years of practice, but it is possible and the results are incredible. One word of warning is that you must be in control and able to return to the mundane level by your own will - a bit like meditation
