St Paul tells of Melchizedek. Here is a Jewish translation of Hebrews 7:1
1 This Malki-Tzedek, king of Shalem, a cohen of God Ha'Elyon, met Avraham on his way back from the slaughter of the kings and blessed him; 2 also Avraham gave him a tenth of everything. Now first of all, by translation of his name, he is "king of righteousness"; and then he is also king of Shalem, which means "king of peace." 3 There is no record of his father, mother, ancestry, birth or death; rather, like the Son of God, he continues as a cohen for all time.
Thus Melchizedek has no ancestry recorded (by the Jews?) and is more than immortal - being a priest for all time.
This being is apparently physical as Abraham meets him. But why should such a being (existing for all time) require a 10th of Abraham's extensive wealth (cattle, slaves, gold)?
I suspect we are looking at a composite story.
If Melchizedek exists for all time then it is obvious that the Jews will have no record of his ancestry. And if Melchizedek exists for all time then he may predate the Earth
St Paul goes on: We have much to say about this subject, but it is hard to explain, because you have become sluggish in understanding. 12 For although by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you the very first principles of God's Word all over again! You need milk, not solid food!
And whatever he had to say I cannot find. Perhaps it is gone.
I've come across some gnostic texts that suggest Jesus was Melchizedek reincarnated (dated between 100 and 200 AD). I've also came across an interesting Dead Sea Scroll (11Q13) pertaining Melchizedek.
There is an account that Melchizedek is a descriptive name for the entity who uses the Universe as a body (the Universal Logos). If so there may on occasion be human(oid)s who are sufficiently overlighted by Melchizedek to be called by his name.
That could give rise to apparently inconsistent two level accounts such as we see in Hebrews 7:1
It is likely that the Melchizedek who took a tenth of Abraham's possessions was a physical being - but perhaps named (at least in the history) to identify his important connection.
If so we might conjecture that Melchizedek was a representative from outside the planet. According to the accounts we have Anu descended to Earth periodically to sort out the conflicts of his Annunaki.
It seems hardly likely that the physical Melchizedek operated here without the sanction of the warlike Annunaki.
Melchizadek was mentioned in a recent thread and that reminded me of this one.
I am currently of the view that Melchizadek who is without father or mother and thereby might not be flesh and blood, is a celestial entity that overlights this planet and others.

Of course you are.
They say Japan was made by a sword. They say the old gods dipped a coral blade into the ocean, and when they pulled it out four perfect drops fell back into the sea, and those drops became the islands of Japan. I say, Japan was made by a handful of brave men. Warriors, willing to give their lives for what seems to have become a forgotten word: honor. -The Last Samurai

What conclusion would you come to henka, given the information provided?
