In my years of quest on esoteric knowledge, I have come accross the most outstanding and impressive concepts/ideas in Theosophical literature. My adventure into the Arcane realms was stimulated by The Lobsang Rampa series, enriched by Rosicrucianism/Rosicrucians, articulated by Freemasonry/Freemasons(without ever being an initiate)..and is now further deepened by Theosophy/Theosophists
With the exception of The Ascended Masters concept(prevalent in eastern and certain western esoteric traditions like Rosicrucianism, Eckanckar and others), the Theosophical teachings/ideas resonate deeply with my thought processess/beliefs. (I also do not particularly agree with a few other theosophical ideas)
My best/favourite works of esoteric literature seem to be those written by Theosophites, Freemasons who were Theosophists(eg Charles Leadbeater, Manly P Hall, Edward Waites(I despise his book on black magic though), Manly P Hall) and Rosicrucians who were Theosophists(eg Rudolf Steiner etc)
I see strong links between Theosophy, Freemasonry and Rosicrucianism, with arcane concepts being presented explicity in the 1st and 3rd, while being presented in cryptic format within Freemasonry(via rites, rituals, symbols, allegories, masonic architecture etc)
I am also aware of the strong Theosophical influence withing LDH Masonry, courtsey of the likes of Annie Beasant
Do we have Theosophists on this forum? Can they share experiences with others on how Theosophy has improved their lives? Have you discovered old esoteric literature with as much depth, quality and scope as Theosophical texts? which ones?
Also what has been their experience with the much talked about Ascended Masters?
