I was having a conversation with some Christians, and an answer came to me. One was reciting the verse about God saying, "Either be hot or cold, lukewarm people I will vomit out of my mouth"
Because, I am the "Cold". I rebelled against my idea of God, because I was unwilling to compromise my morality any longer.
And, I realized, if there is a just God- he would want me to be cold. To sincerely toss away my beliefs, in search of the truth. It is in this rejection and pursuit of truth, that one may find the "true" God.
Being "Hot" means you submit to God, being lukewarm means you are half assing it (Like an idiot. Putting no effort into it. Of no consequence, of no effect. just existing. Unreliable. Of zero use to anyone, essentially.), and being cold means, you reject God as you see/think of him. It is through the cold path, that you are truly open to being taught. I think if there is a deity, they would prefer this honest search of intellectual truth.
