"It is a wise man that knows his father" is a saying I remember from my youth. These days the word "child" is used instead of "man". The apparent source is Shakespeare: it is a wise father that knows his own child.
So I was reading Anton Parks' account of alien breeding using genetic material from various sources

Later I was meditating and was surprised by the thought: Is my father, really my father?
My mother was a devout RC and very likely a virgin on marriage.
My mother passed over long ago but I still have telepathic contact with her. So I asked her and she replied that she did wonder about that as she had had a strange dream just before discovering she was pregnant with me.
Of course I thought about pregnancies that are often reported after ufo abductions.
