This info came out on another thread... rather thought it interesting enough to give it its own thread. I have included it in the Masonic area because Freemasonry does have the Anchor as a symbol and there is a side degree called The Ark Mariners - and this discussion includes references to Oannes-Oe-Noah. So far...
Re: Temples in the Heavens « Reply #4 Yesterday at 2:18pm » ________________________________________ Adrian refers to the "Salmon of Knowledge" in one of his poems (see Poets Corner) ... wonder if that is referring to the same thing. Synchronicity. ________________________________________
The Salmon of Wisdom might relate to the annedotus (repulsive ones) who were amphibious beings led by Oannes (Jonah) who would come from the sea each dawn to teach the sciences, agriculture, culture etc.

Great link Paul! Omigosh.. has anyone ever written a history book based on the alternative explanations for biblical events? Reckon we could give it a go? I need a good retirement plan and I'm already at that age ...
I have always thought that Jonah was in a submarine vehicle. UFO's ? There are world wide reports of them still ascending and descending INto the seas. Bruce Cathie, retired commercial airline pilot and author of the books Harmonics 33 et al started his research career because of seeing this particular phenomenon.
The reason (?) for the shape of the Bishops' Mitre is interesting, I have already determined in my mind the reason for the shape of the Crosier.
So masonic wise, do you think that the anchor on the ladder (the symbol for Hope) is a clue to this marine connection of the past... the education these submariners gave also gave us an understanding of the nature of Life and therefore - Hope?
(Rainbows are connected to the Crosier, if my understanding of its symbolic nature is correct, and the rainbow is connected to Cosmic Consciousness)
________________________________________ One thing I forgot regarding the Salmon of Knowledge. In the Irish version featuring Finn McCool, the Salmon lives in a pool under the bank of the Boyne River. Overhanging this pool is the Tree of Knowledge. The nuts from the tree fall into the pool, to be eaten by the Salmon. So we have the Tree of Knowledge added to the mix of symbolism. Shades of the Garden of Eden perhaps, since Finn's Druid teacher realized that the supreme knowledge was not for him, but for his pupil? Having read all the posts I ask myself, can someone tie all the symbols together into a coherent whole? ________________________________________

You may recall that Ea lived in a dwelling in the underground freshwater ocean called Apsu (abyss).
And you may also recall that the Lord (Ja) opened the fountains of the deep to produce Noah's flood.
Ea employed Oannes to dredge the mouth of the Euphrates for shipping trade - presumably most of the ships used anchors.
Still there is the quintaur (a sea monster) that provided the Merovingian line
The above original conversations, including who said what, can be found in the Temples in the Heavens thread. Please feel free to contribute, fascinating subject.

The Salmon of Wisdom is interesting: - the name seems close to Solomon who was wise (Israelites had close connections to Britain e.g. "Joseph was a tin man" (Arimathea) - the fish-headed people (annedotus) educated the Greeks - the tree of life/knowledge is Sumerian and associated with the fish people Note the fish being on the left of the tree - and the flying craft past the crescent moon The 16 pointed star is probably our Sun And here is a later coloured version of the same Tree Note the similarity of the Tree to the Jewish Tree of Life See the gods with their conical "bread of life" (shew bread). The flying craft is again in the centre top but the gods are now quite different - somewhat reminiscent of the Egyptian animal-headed gods that are commonly supposed to be symbolic. And they are carrying their bags in which they kept the bread of life and the water of life. The gods were dying impacted by the light from the aging Sun. Their bread of life and water of life maintained their immortality

And here is a closeup of the flying god looking rather Masonic and just for the fun of it here is a depiction of Ea on the right. You can tell it is Ea because of the flows of water around him - he was from the subterranean fresh water ocean. If you look carefully you can see fish swimming up the stream. (There are other seals that show more detail of the fish) I don't know who the insectoid is - must be in the mythology somewhere Notice how tall Ea (Ja) is. El (Hebrew for god) is from Ilu (Sumerian for god and for tall) - that is how Abraham knew that it was a god he met - the god was very tall. The gods kept growing if they were sheltered from the aging sun. Thus the tallest god was the oldest and therefore the most senior. Thus El Elyon translates as Tallest of the Tall Ones - or in modern parlance The Most High Notice also the horned helmets of the various gods depicted - just as in the Nordic tradition - same gods different names

I read once that the giant statues of the hierarchy of Egypt were an attempt by the ancients to show that there really were giants around back then. From a different source - a psychic stated that this was indeed the case.
I was taught that planetry placement in the solar system and the interplay of the various earth energies dictate our size (generally speaking).
So the giants in the bible might indicate they were from elsewhere, or, that the Earth in those days was different ... young ? Mention of the aging Sun might indicate this.
El - Ja - The Most High ... makes one think.
Scientists tell us we evolved from the sea?

Osiris was supposedly 17 feet tall and black
Of course Jahweh is not The Most High since:
Deut 32 8When the most High divided to the nations their inheritance, when he separated the sons of Adam, he set the bounds of the people according to the number of the children of Israel.
9For the LORD'S portion is his people; Jacob is the lot of his inheritance.
TMH gives to the Lord (Jahweh) his chosen people - chosen by TMH not by Jahweh
And having such a small group of human servants he was a jealous god: shalt have no gods before me.

>Scientists tell us we evolved from the sea?
Scientists love to have theories even when they are not very good.
See how many proposed evolutionary chains have missing links. The answer may be: all of them.
How could that be?

Osiris was supposedly 17 feet tall and black Is mention made of Horus being black or part black? If not then the black colour might be symbolical. Is mention made of the colour of Isis? I have always thought of 'Mother Nature' being black, 'the Widow' being black, the 'Waters of the Deep' being black. Black being the feminine/receptive/matrix/creative aspect and the white side being the male/active/creator/etc. Two sides of the one coin. Getting back to 'fishy' in the land of 'giant statuary' one does find the crocodile treated as something special. Do you think this would be connected to the fish folk referred to above?

Black was lower caste so Osiris is depicted as green.
Similarly Krishna was black so was depicted as blue

Black was lower caste so Osiris is depicted as green. Similarly Krishna was black so was depicted as blue Now I am thinking of The Green Man (or should I say men, there are several versions of them). There are legends of him (Khidr) in which, like Osiris, he is dismembered and reborn; and prophecies connecting him, like the Green Man, with the end of time. His name means the Green One or Verdant One, he is the voice of inspiration to the aspirant and committed artist. He can come as a white light or the gleam on a blade of grass, but more often as an inner mood. The sign of his presence is the ability to work or experience with tireless enthusiasm beyond one's normal capacities. In this there may be a link across cultures, …one reason for the enthusiasm of the medieval sculptors for the Green Man may be that he was the source of every inspiration. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Green_Man
It is interesting to see Green Men featured in the architecture of both church and masonic sites, not to mention mainstream buildings. The Astral world is often depicted as green, and inspiration could be tied to the Astral (?)

We need to be a bit careful with confusing the foliate Green Man with Al Khidr who is green as a representation of heart energy.
The foliate Green Man is a name given to etheric entities that inhabit vegetation. I pointed out a green man one time to a workshop group. While I could not see the entity with my physical eye, one of the group could see the entity right where I was pointing. Sometimes you can call a green man and he(?) will come quite close

How could you point out something you could not see? What gave him? away? Some old Theosophists who knew Geoffrey Hodson*, said that while he was giving lectures he would ofter brush away unseen entities, much like flies. I sometimes see the TV mediums do the same thing. The only thing I sometime see with eyes wide open are flashes of light and shadows in the peripheral vision. Talking of odd things that reminds me of those singular strappy leaves one sometimes see moving round and round in circles while all other leaves on the plant are still... what do you think causes that? I often see those in the garden. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Geoffrey_Hodson(Mr Hodson was a Freemason and he considered it a real privilege to be one. A humble man who saw much more in lodge than most of us. I have some short masonic works of his, will see if I can find them)

I have some degree of inner sight.
Also the sense of touch is not limited to the physical body.
For example, pass your gaze slowly across the palm of your hand. Notice the warmth of your gaze.
Then move your gaze slowly from carpet to wall or hard floor. Notice the change in eye sensation.
Then practice with your "eye beam" in detecting non-physical entities in the landscape

Now THAT is something that I will definitely work on. I have already determined that the hands can feel things. Can't wait till I get home to practice. Thanks Paul.
Eye beams remind me of all those people who sense at one time or the other that someone looking at them. (Generally speaking, we really don't pay much attention to a lot of things do we)

However, I did discover something new (to me) - when I viewed my hands, taking particular note of sensations, I could actually feel the 'eye beam' move across them. For some reason the left hand was more sensitive that the right. I could also feel the movement with peripheral vision ?? Amazing. I will continue to take note of the eye sensations more often, maybe I will improve now I know to take notice of them. Thanks Paul.

well, my eyebeam (my eyeballs actually!) felt warmer when I looked at my hand and cooler when I looked at the wall, however they also felt warmer when I looked at the computer... could it be proximity?? I'm going to practice this some more though..

>they also felt warmer when I looked at the computer
Try with the computer turned off.
The streams from the eye use quite a lot of energy - hence the restfulness of closing the eyes.
You may have noticed how you can tell if someone is looking at you and when you are looking at them. For example if you look carefully at the clothing of someone walking in front of you, it often only takes a few seconds before they adjust the clothing around where you have your gaze.
This is the result of the eye beam impacting the elementals that make up the human body forms.

Today I discovered that a friend has seen an annedotus. It rose head and shoulders from the water and looked at her with striking blue eyes. It had long grey hair and beard and was not pleasant to behold. (Annedotus means repulsive). It was air breathing hence amphibious. It looked like

Could she distinguish whether she saw it with the normal physical vision or was it 3rd eye sort of vision?
I know that tales abound of sailors seeing mermaids... well up to now I have always assumed they were of the female ..
