As I have aged I have become more content. This seems to be common amongst older people.
Any thoughts on this?
I quite agree with all your points. Living in a facility with many older people as I do, you might get the impression that we're all crotchety, but as a neighbor observed, they were probably crotchety at 20.
Still, some of us develop deteriorating conditions, like dementia, that can put a strain on the nerves. Even with that I wonder if the higher self sustains the soul as the body deteriorates. At least that's what I'm counting on.

I suspect that it is important for the persona to continue to claim the attention of the soul. Else the soul will give up and withdraw leaving the lower intelligences to run the syste.
