Bright amber eyes catch lamplight as half-light fades and streets brighten to full beam.... flickering as insects move and swarm in humid evening air.
Eyes expand as darkness extends deepening in depth of physical being and mindset. Night instinct rises waxing and waning like moon phases in monthly tides.
The predator waits and watches.... Mice and rodents run- scampering out of view as vehicles pass in sparse occurrence in trails of lingering sound dissipating to silence.
Bright amber eyes catch morning star in radiance.... drifting far beyond horizons where the single eye sees to infinite space through galaxies and cosmic realms- dimensions interweaving.

Distant peaks emerge....clear as day. The hermit's lantern turns to guide the way. Hermit's Way - F. J. Rogers
When me and my wife first met, we got a kitten (black) and named him Toad. Amazing and intelligent guy. He died at 18, a good age that he didn't look a day of but felt every hour. After a bit we had a friend with tabby kittens, so now we have Kenji. I was gonna attach photo but says files have to be 1mb 🤢
