Thought you might find this interesting.
Having been bitten and terrorised by dogs as a child, I have been somewhat wary of them. Over the past decade or so I have made great efforts to touch and fuss dogs (with their owners permission). Dogs no longer seem to go for me.
Until a couple of hours ago.
Imagine an outdoor shopping centre, with a Starbucks at one end. As I walked past this dog rose, barked loudly and threatened me. At least I know that I no longer freeze. I stopped, placed my shopping in front of and looked at the owners watching on from perhaps twelve to eighteen feet away. The dog stopped then restarted being agressive with me. It was only when I asked the owners what I had done that that one rose to get the dog with the other said ‘nothing you are just holding a shopping bad, he doesn’t like that.’ Once the dog was at a safe distance with its lead being held, I walked away.
Reflecting on this, some thoughts..
1. If a dog gets agressive at people with shopping bags, why leave them off lead at a shopping centre?
2. More to the point why take it to a shopping centre until it has risen above this?
3. The dog specifically went for me, no one else with bags, which is interesting.
4. Now that I have had time to reflect back on the dog, I do wonder if there was a bit more too it.
5. It was being agressive that is for sure.
6. But as I slide back in time and view my connection to its energy flow, I think that it might have recognised me in some way. (Never knowingly seen it before).
7. I actually now think that it wanted my attention, pleading even.
8. But I don’t know why.
9. Let’s explore in real time.
10. It’s now in a car. The family clearly have money. That’s a feeling more than an observation.
11. The dog seems sad, I think because I didn’t respond.
12. Sammy. I don’t know if that’s its name or just a random word.
13. ‘Hi Sammy what happened?’
14. ‘I (the dog) have been waiting and hoping to see you all my life’.
15. Why?
16. ‘You don’t remember me, but we were close once.’
17. Let’s settle down beside it. Awww. Big softie. Let’s see if a heart to heart/connection is there. Yes.
18. I am going to spend some time on this, so I need to go. Wow that is a nice house.
Paul, anyone, can you insert yourself into this time moment and tell me what you perceive please? Please post things that are contrary if that’s what you sense. It’s a useful check.
Poor thing.
