"A leading medical journal has issued a retraction of their endorsement for a study that concluded the anti-viral drug hydroxychloroquine was ineffective against the COVID-19 virus. This retraction appears to validate the claims then-President Trump made about the medication being a frontline drug in the battle in the pandemic. The Lancet, a respected online medical journal, issued an apology to its readers in an edition last year after the retraction. “We deeply apologize to you, the editors, and the journal readership for any embarrassment or inconvenience that this may have caused,” the publishers of The Lancet said." "In the now debunked study, researchers concluded that hydroxychloroquine didn’t aid in curbing the COVID-19 virus. It went on to say that the drug caused heart problems and appeared to elevate the risk of death. The study was immediately embraced by the beleaguered World Health Organization and other groups causing research into the use of the drug to combat COVID-19 to stop." nationalfile.com/as-biden-became-president-medical-journal-quietly-retracted-study-that-claimed-hydroxychloroquine-is-ineffective/Thus we see what was fake science when Trump backed it, is now true science "any embarrassment or inconvenience that this may have caused" - and avoidable deaths

> Perhaps it is time to start again in thinking about black holes. How about the relationship between the pralaya and the manifested universe?
"One solution, proposed by Susskind and Dutch physicist Gerard 't Hooft in the mid-'90s, was that when an object gets pulled into a black hole, it leaves behind some sort of 2D imprint encoded on the event horizon. Later, when radiation leaves the black hole, it picks up the imprint of this data. In this way, the information isn't really destroyed."

>it leaves behind some sort of 2D imprint...it picks up the imprint of this data
So there is some sort of programming operating a black hole - to decide when to leave the imprint and when to pick it up.

"Japan’s meteorological agency said the quake hit at 11.08pm local time (1408 GMT) at a depth of 60km (37 miles) in the Pacific, off Fukushima – near the epicentre of a 2011 killer quake that triggered a towering tsunami and killed more than 18,000 people." www.theguardian.com/world/2021/feb/13/japan-earthquake-strikes-near-eastern-coastAs I recall the previous quake (damaging the nuclear power plant) was artificial - with the wrong seismic profile - and shortly after Japan reversed its decision that the US abandon one of its Japanese bases. This quake too feels artificial. Is China issuing a warning? Update: "Kenji Satake, a professor at the University of Tokyo’s earthquake research institute, told the Kyodo news agency: “Because [the 2011 quake] was an enormous one with a magnitude of 9.0, it’s not surprising to have an aftershock of this scale 10 years later.” www.theguardian.com/world/2021/feb/13/japan-earthquake-strikes-near-eastern-coastThe aftershock arrives in time for the 10 year anniversary? I am suspicious that that is code for: we had no idea this was coming because there were no early tremors

> So there is some sort of programming operating a black hole - to decide when to leave the imprint and when to pick it up. I had a similar thought. "None of this was proof that black holes were holograms. But early on, Susskind says, physicists recognized that looking at the entire universe as a two-dimensional object that only looks three-dimensional might help solve some deeper problems in theoretical physics. And the math works just as well whether you're talking about a black hole, a planet, or an entire universe." Holographic Universe

The processes for dealing with Covid:
"The site was re-examined as a hotspot after a separate infection led to authorities re-examining an early test from a quarantine worker and bumping it from a “negative” to a “weak positive”."
Such is the nature of objective science used when locking down urban areas.

science council" Scientific methodology includes the following: Objective observation: Measurement and data (possibly although not necessarily using mathematics as a tool) Evidence Experiment and/or observation as benchmarks for testing hypotheses Induction: reasoning to establish general rules or conclusions drawn from facts or examples Repetition Critical analysis Verification and testing: critical exposure to scrutiny, peer review and assessment " For testing hypotheses, is often a blind spot for those advocating following the science.

"The flipping of the Earth’s magnetic poles together with a drop in solar activity 42,000 years ago could have generated an apocalyptic environment that may have played a role in a major events ranging from the extinction of megafauna to the end of the Neanderthals, researchers say.... This allowed them to track over time the rise in carbon-14 levels in the atmosphere produced by increasing levels of high energy cosmic radiation reaching the Earth during the Laschamps excursion. As a result they were able to date the atmospheric changes in more detail than offered by previous records, such as mineral deposits. We see this massive growth of the ice sheet over North America … we see tropical rain belts in the west Pacific shifting dramatically at that point, and then also wind belts in the southern ocean and a drying out in Australia,” www.theguardian.com/science/2021/feb/18/end-of-neanderthals-linked-to-flip-of-earths-magnetic-poles-study-suggestsCurrently we are heading into a period of low solar activity - a Maunder Minimum. Does that mean that we are now into a cold period? Certainly Australia has been drying out for decades.

Nothing like a good prediction of an apocalpse to set the MSM pulse racing is there?
I too thought it seemed plausable until I spotted the lead author's name - "Prof Chris Turney of the University of New South Wales". Chris Turney? The name sounds familiar. Sure enough, it was Chris Turney that lead the team on the "Ship Of Fools" that got stuck in a record amount of Antarctic sea ice, while trying to prove their hypothesis that the sea ice was disappearing.
Most people don't notice the sleight-of-hand when the MSM breathlessly reports that "scientists believe {something}" without mentioning the {something} is a computer theoretical model or simulation, not old-fashioned real-world measurement. Plus the "careful ignoral" from Chris Turney & Co that megafauna existed in an era with far higher CO2 levels than we have now!
My conclusion? It's nothing like a good prediction.

In science it often happens that scientists say, "You know that's a really good argument; my position is mistaken," and then they actually change their minds and you never hear that old view from them again. They really do it. It doesn't happen as often as it should, because scientists are human and change is sometimes painful. But it happens every day. I cannot recall the last time something like that happened in politics or religion. A nice idea. Does the evidence support it?

I was watching a Sheldrake video: The Science Delusion He proposes that mainstream science is based on the following beliefs: - the universe is mechnical in its functioning & animals are also mechanistic, robotic in their actions - matter is unconscious - the laws of nature are fixed forever along with the various constants (Sheldrake recounts a decade when the speed of light was measured about 20km/sec slower than in the decades on either side. Does the speed of light vary?) - the total of matter and energy is fixed - nature is purposeless - biological heredity is material e.g. in genes - memories are material traces in the brain - mind is inside the head - psychic phenomena are impossible - mechanistic medicine is the only kind that works No doubt other beliefs are possible but would they be acceptable in mainstream science? Why not?
Rupert Sheldrake's research into the "constant" speed of light has some amusing parts.
Intellectual Phase Locking = Fake Consensus.
The problem was 'solved' in 1972, the metrologist said, when they fixed it by definition - after which no disagreement was possible. It looks like the TED board that banned Sheldrake have no self-awareness (of their own Intellectual Phase Locking) and have no idea how correct Sheldrake is.
Why?
In 1912 Einstein concluded that:
Max Born agreed with Einstein and stated both speed and direction of light change in a gravity field.
Richard Tolman also agreed with Einstein and expressed the radial speed of light as dr/dt in a gravity field.
My conclusions?
1) Einstein himself defined the speed of light as a slowly-moving variable 2) the speed of light is only a constant when the gravitational potential doesn't change.(or) 3) the speed of light must change if the gravitational potential changes.
As for "nature is purposeless":

Here's a proposal for a scientific experiment on scientific facts on social media.
Take any of the “landmark” studies that cannot be reduced by Amgen or Bayer (both reputable drug companies). Comment on the original "landmark" research on social media as though it is current research, and ask the question "Fake news?"

The discovery in quantum mechanics that reality is determined by an observation process accelerated a necessary change in science. The problem of course is that in the macro world there is actually a cloud of observation processes. Which will dominate?
I recall many years ago, I was doing the accounting for a large guest operation for a spiritual community. I used to carry a bunch of keys in my pocket and they were uncomfortable - distorting my etheric body. So after a while I decided that the properties of the metals should change and a couple of days later the keys were no longer an irritant.
A few months later there were a couple of therapists staying that offered to do some work on my energy body and chakras. They seemed ok so I agreed. Part way through one of them wanted to short out meridian points on my upper and lower lips, so asked me for a key. I handed him my keys and he moved a key around several times, failing to short the meridian points. Eventually he gave the keys back saying: they are blessed keys.
So there the etheric property of metal was changed by intent.
Back when I was an economist building mathematical models there was a process called data cleansing. We could remove anomalous data points and lo, a clear relationship appeared. The pharmaceutical industry, among others, is very good at data cleansing.

Data cleansing: "The “vaccine” trials test for efficacy in the reduction covid19 symptoms. Adverse events from the vaccines in these trials were excluded data. Many adverse events and covid 19 symptoms are the same. Thus the experiments are gamed as the presence of covid 19 symptoms after vaxxxination can be categorized as adverse events and excluded in the data." off-guardian.org/2021/03/03/do-as-i-say-not-as-i-do/

Dilbert-cartoon creator Scott Adams makes this observation on page 13 of his book Loserthink: "One thing I can say with complete certainty is that it is a bad idea to trust the majority of experts in any domain in which both complexity and large amounts of money are involved." off-guardian.org/2021/03/06/the-antibody-deception/Personally I am opposed to industries profiting from any health issues I might have or that they tell me I might have. Profit too often encourages greed.

Not long ago my daily work was with two very good doctors who were Programme Managers for Continual Medical Education (online) for some 100,000 primary care doctors. Both excellent and conscientious people. They were struggling with the problem of how to roll-back decades of "perceived wisdom" on low-fat diets and statins. As far as I know, they are still struggling with that.

>low-fat diets and statins
Given that the brain is about half cholesterol, a low fat diet might be a quick way to dementia.
And years ago a gungho doctor put me on statins. Within 2 days I had blood in the urine and kidney pain. The doctor had no idea that kidney failure was a known side effect of statins.
