I just found this thread, so the post is a little late.
The music does sound Sufi, doesn't it? But the dance belongs to a more interpretive style of the art. For a more accurate clip of Sufi dancing, may I suggest www.youtube.com/watch?v=cGfDcsrFOE8 which demonstrates sufi dancing as a religious ceremony of prayer and meditation.
The cocked head represents listening to God. One hand turned upward toward heaven and the other turned downward toward earth joins all creation in God.
For those who want to try it, pivot on the left foot and shove off with the right. It's like walking and chewing gum at the same time.
