Grey, flat stone hard under foot paves lawn moss, weeds as first step from front door to garden gate.
Rugged growth surrounding edge- cracks appearing increasing, lengthening perimeter to centre extending to far end weakening structure to breaking point.
Another step ahead is close but shadowed in my mind Am I blind?
A third is further on the path but longer than a stride.... so can I glide or wait in pride?
The fourth is by the garden gate. I know it is the end- it's never late. Will time bend or lend a helping hand?
Setting sun is in the west in pink magenta hue. I hold another clue.... the sky is new the moon is round. I see a distant light above a falling star a vagrant sound- another stone is found.
