>I would agree with Pythagoras that they alive however they are alive through us.
So if humans did not exist then numbers would not be alive?
"decades of research have provided evidence for the numerical abilities of a number of species, including gorillas, rhesus, capuchin, and squirrel monkeys, lemurs, dolphins, elephants, birds, salamanders and fish. Recently, researchers from Oakland University in Michigan added black bears to the list of the numerically skilled. But the real maths wizards of the animal kingdom are the ants of the Tunisian desert (Cataglyphis fortis). They count both arithmetic and geometry as parts of their mathematical toolkit." www.bbc.com/future/article/20121128-animals-that-can-count
They have missed bees. Bees instruct others as to the direction and distance of food, even when the sun is obscured. The out-going bees take only enough honey to get to the source. If they miss the source they have to walk home.
Perhaps humans are not, after all, the center of Existence
Existence and being aware of something existing or not dosent imply that because we are not aware of something that it does not exist.

The way #'s live in ourselves is a symbol describing an amount. To us 1 is 1. What if 1 to everything else in the cosmos is 2? The symbols could confuse an observer.
We are not the center of existence, but we are the center of our own existence (relative). If thought were the means this conundrum would cease to exist.
The amount is 1 or single, and that thought conveys using understanding. Not the language.
