This business of "bowing"...I can generally tell when the Black Virgin is present because people start acting differently around me; I have had people start bowing all over the place. Indians can see Her very easily; I have been referred to by Indians as 'Mahakali' more times than I can count, and all this without saying a word about my particular spiritual allegiances. (of course "I" am not Mahakali, but She uses me as her vehicle, so 'I' am Her when She is manifesting in me, just as "Lilith Le Fay Morgan" said of the Black Isis in "Moon Magic")

I have made my own verifications of the Sirian Lodge and its means of connecting with Masonic lodges.
Yes, but there is no way to verify that outside of your subjective experience. I, or Lorr, or any of the other members here can't get inside your head and see things through the lens of your consciousness. Our consciousness originate inside of ourselves, from within our own brain. Any journey we make, regardless of how it appears we are "rising" or "descending," or that we seem to be traveling to other worlds or dimensions, are, basically, a "Journey to the center of the mind." These things are happening within. This I have verified from over 35 years of meditation and esoteric training, including GD, and as a practicing Witch.
I would disagree that it all "originates within the brain". The brain is merely a "receiver" for Mind; mind definitely exists independently of the brain, and is greater than the brain. The brain, in fact is a very poor and slow vehicle for Mind; one's own mind must connect with the Universal Mind and THEN things can start to happen.
True, one starts within one's own brain to commence the formation of the link, but there is no question that one's consciousness can "leave" the limited realm of one's own mind and travel to other realms. The material body has to stay where it is, of course, but there is no question that one's consciousness can "leave' the physical body and go 'elsewhere"; I can always tell when I am 'coming back' to my earthly body, because my thoughts begin to lose their "lightness' and speed and become slow and thick like molasses (by comparison, that is!)
However, it must be said that there is a certain risk to such journeys because there is a LOT out there in the Unseen that can result in derangement of the bodily thought processes; I have in fact been warned by my HGA "not to turn around too quickly"; I didn't understand this injunction until I realized that it was a warning that if I did so I would see things that would unhinge my mind. Even Dion Fortune warns of such things on the astral and the danger of "uncontrolled" astral travelling.

It is also possible to observe directly what is in people's minds - to the extent they are able to visualise clearly.
This was apparently used in the early days of the Golden Dawn when a candidate for Adeptus Minor would have to visualise a full temple with officers in god forms and the examiner would inspect the visualisation for correctness.
I have on occasion seen a miniature image in front of each 3rd eye showing what was being visualised. That allowed me to manage the group meditation by direct inspection.
