Does anyone know of the beings Sarachiel and/or Asuriel? I have had the thought of both names upon awakening, and have only found limited information.
Sarachiel it seems appears in the Key of Solomon and may be an Enochian angel.
Asuriel is said to be the angel that warned Noah of the flood, although I intuitively felt it to be the name of a demon.
Any insight would be much appreciated.
The Hebrews liked to turn all the other gods into angels or demons, depending upon whether they had good relations with Jehovah - a relatively minor god to whom The Most High allocated only Jacob and his people.
Sarachiel may be Zerachiel but that does not help much in placing him/her in the theo-political power structure.
The "angel" that warned Noah, in the Sumerian writings is the god EA, the creator of the Earth humans. Here he is warning Noah. The serpent is EA and Noah stands behind the wicker screen so that he can overhear what EA is not allowed to tell him about the coming flood. The tubular thing next to EA is a billet of metal. EA was a scientist and responsible for overseeing metal production
Asuriel is an interesting name - the "iel" is a generic Hebrew word ending derived from the Sumerian word for tall/god - so that the root Asur is the key.
- Asar (Osiris) - Ashur (all-seeing eye god of the Assyrians - Asar also is represented by an eye) - Ashura (Japan god of battle)
I suspect that these are all the same god.
Here is Ashur flying overhead. Notice his bow (god of battle?) is in the form of a triangle. In Blake's Ancient of Days this becomes dividers for measuring the Earth
A friend once warned me that he did not trust Asar. I have taken his advice, but have only had a couple of encounters so am not sure if that assessment is correct.
More generally, many of the gods one might meet around this planet have ethics that from the perspective of Earth humans are rather dubious. For example the current Most High (the heavenly sovereign), according to Sumerian accounts achieved that honor by overthrowing the previous incumbent, Alalu.
There are more important intelligences to consider than the humanoid gods of Earth history.
>I saw four angels standing at the four corners of the earth, holding back its four winds
In Freemasonry it is conventional to put tassels at the corners of the pavement or temple indicating outflows of energy - actually from the center of the galaxy.
The long list of angels above reminded me of Khamael/Chamael
"Angel of (the planet) Mars - Uriel, Sammael, (Zamiel), Gabriel, Chamael (or Camuel, as listed in Camfield, A Theological Discourse of Angels)."
I met him on several occasions - the first time while eating lunch on the lawn in Forres. I had to go to look up the name he gave me - in the Dictionary of Angels.
Years later I was on top of Glastonbury Tor, raising an energy sword above my head, when he appeared and his hand went over mine and my sword became a meat cleaver - destroying a time bubble.
You may be able to detect the difference if you compare photos of the Tor prior to 1977 and after 1979. (I forget that actual date)
Khamael is politely known as the Angel of Divine Justice, but I saw him active as the Avenging Angel
