> So is the raising of the human consciousness the primary objective for the human race?
It's not an easy question to answer. One could look at it in a very individual way, or in a group consciousness way.
A tribal culture might consider harmonious living (in thought word and action) to be one objective in order to obtain favour in the higher realms.
A high, civilised culture might consider the development of the intellect and intuitive faculties (to the extent that a person can contribute to civilisation and make a difference to the consciousness of humanity) to be an important aspect of human destiny. That's only the beginning of the story.

So a group outcome might be more important than an individual outcome.
Kwan Yin is said to have decided not to leave Earth until every human has been enlightened.

I suspect that the mental faculties become increasingly subconscious as the heart comes into full function. For example there are some humans for whom the answers to complex numerical calculation appear in their minds without conscious effort.
The heart might turn out to be the most critical to human function - at least until the next pralaya.

I think you have a point. There heart is important just as much as the other faculties and they all need to unite. Once this has taken place humanity may have achieved universality in consciousness.
