A Freemason, Sousa was fascinated by what the group considered mystical qualities in otherwise natural phenomena. According to Sten Odenwald of the NASA IMAGE Science Center,[5] this played a significant role in the selection of the time and date of the performance, April 19, 1883, at 4:00 P.M. Dr. Odenwald points out that Venus and Mars, invisible to the participants, were setting in the west. At the same time, the moon, Uranus, and Virgo were rising in the east, Saturn had crossed the meridian, and Jupiter was directly overhead.

Isn't that something fox? Venus has some very strange characteristics doesn't it.
I always loved its facts-
It has the densest atmosphere of the four terrestrial planets, consisting of more than 96% carbon dioxide. The atmospheric pressure at the planet's surface is 92 times that of Earth's. With a mean surface temperature of 735 K (462 °C; 863 °F), Venus is by far the hottest planet in the Solar System. It has no carbon cycle to lock carbon back into rocks and surface features, nor does it seem to have any organic life to absorb it in biomass. Venus is shrouded by an opaque layer of highly reflective clouds of sulfuric acid, preventing its surface from being seen from space in visible light. Venus may have possessed oceans in the past,[13][14] but these would have vaporized as the temperature rose due to a runaway greenhouse effect.[15] The water has most probably photodissociated, and, because of the lack of a planetary magnetic field, the free hydrogen has been swept into interplanetary space by the solar wind.[16] Venus's surface is a dry desertscape interspersed with slab-like rocks and periodically refreshed by volcanism.
They say its the hottest because its extremely difficult for the solar particles to escape the dense sulfuric clouds once they get in. A runaway greenhouse effect.
There was also many partially successful missions to Venus. In fact only the ones in orbit had any survivability or success. This issue in the following story about #13 and 14, always seemed like a good case for the phrase *go figure* to me. At least is still something I think about now and then.
with Venera 11 and Venera 12 detecting Venusian electrical storms;[126] and Venera 13 and Venera 14, landing on 1 and 5 March 1982, returning the first colour photographs of the surface. All four missions deployed parachutes for braking in the upper atmosphere, then released them at altitudes of 50 km, the dense lower atmosphere providing enough friction to allow for unaided soft landings. Both Venera 13 and 14 analysed soil samples with an on-board X-ray fluorescence spectrometer, and attempted to measure the compressibility of the soil with an impact probe.[126] Venera 14 struck its own ejected camera lens cap and its probe failed to contact the soil.
> Venera 14 struck its own ejected camera lens cap and its probe failed to contact the soil. Ooops, it's a bit like being a professional photographer and doing this
>Venera 14 struck its own ejected camera lens cap and its probe failed to contact the soil.
If that had been NASA (Never A Straight Answer) reporting that, then I would not have believed it. In which case, I wonder whether I should believe the Russians.
What design engineer would not look at the trajectory of an ejected lens cap? So what else might have been a problem?

Here I would like to add one thing, because misunderstandings have crept into the naming of the planets. In all occult nomenclature, what the astronomers call Venus is called Mercury, and vice versa. Astronomers know nothing of the mysteries behind this, because in the past it was not desired that the esoteric names should be revealed. This happened in order to conceal certain things.
I am not sure of the details here but it is common in esoteric writings to use blinds. Swapping names is an obvious one - where the skilled practitioner easily discovers the wrong naming and deals with it.
Such practices are very old. The Old Testament is full of these games - for example Notarikon

Getting deeper spiritual meanings from words in the bible makes the bible more meaningful and more comprehensive to the ordinary reader. In the secular world the bible very often doesn't mean anything to people.

When one looks into things and situation, not at them, one gets a deeper understanding of human behaviour. People themselves are at the heart of human problems. The same applies to biblical teachings and parables. They're better understood when not taken too literally.

The above link seems to be broken, but I bet I can find it on YouTube.
I'm sure Sousa was tapping in to that energy. Way back when the Earth was green, played trumpet in a military styled marching band in high school. We included a Sousa march every year for our UIL competitions. I grew to love the driving enthusiasm of his marches, especially the dynamics! I can remember Daughters of Texas and that one b flat we used to miss!
