Must admit I did not know which category to put this under. I put it under General because according to the author, all Freemasons are serpent worshippers. I was looking for this beehive image ... when I accidentally came across this site. www.theforbiddenknowledge.com/hardtruth/freemasons_proven_worship_satan.htmI hate to admit it, but I find anti-masonic sites quite interesting (really!) I have actually learned a lot from them over the years, though probably not what they wished me to learn. My sincere wish with regard to this thread is that we keep our cool even when they state that "Freemasonry is boldly, completely, and totally Satanic. I feel sure that the author/s are sincere in what they say and believe to be true. So can we look at it piece by piece (not necessarily in any order) and see what thoughts, ideas and discoveries we might make.

One of the first things which crossed my mind when I accessed this site, was that they had completely overlooked the symbolism of the dove which also exists within Freemasonry.
Jesus said to his disciples "Behold I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves!" He later gives them instructions to "Be wise as serpents—and harmless as doves."
How difficult it must be still, to go amid 'the wolves of the world' and stand up for what is right and beneficial to humanity as a whole. To make those wise decisions and remain calm and cool while doing what needs to be done.

The fundamentalists might wish to consider the origins of the word Messiah. It means annointed and it seems that Moses (being an Egyptian prince) was familiar with their practice of annointing the king with the fat of the Messeh - the crocodile.
Is Christianity based on worship of the crocodile?

Good question and point. The Chrism oil and all that.
Can I say I have never really understood the point of annointing with oil, especially if it is the oil of something they had to kill first.
Some traditions speak of the "the Dew" - happens in the skull before enlightenment or expanded consciousness. Well that is what I read, I don't think I followed it up at the time. But I could see that one might hope their king, or bishop etc might be enlightened and rule accordingly.

The crocodile is symbolic, perhaps of the mysterious makara - thus the annointing may be a form of imitative magic.

Certainly nothing is killed in its creation. Actually even the olive tree is not destroyed in removing the oil from the olive. I don't think I've ever read the reason for choosing olive oil for anointing, except that it was used from time immemorial before the formation of the Christian religion. Among Roman Catholics, at least, the oil receives a solemn blessing by the Bishop, making it a fit vehicle for a special blessing. There are other oils used by the Roman church for a specific kind of blessing. In some cases aromatic substances are added to the olive oil, like attar of roses, which makes for a rather heady “brew.”

Hi Stepn.. sorry I had assumed they had to kill the crocodile to extract the oil. ? Are you indicating that the oil might be just a focal point for intent? I have seen the release of white/blue light from the compasses as a lodge is closed, why I don't know, because I don't believe the Brn were concentrating on them during the meeting. We use a thurible in our lodge and some believe that different ingredients in the incense produce different results. I don't know how or why this might be. I don't know lots of things

From the link above ..
-> Thus we see that any religious teaching that does not conform to Scripture is from a "false prophet".
Does Scripture include the whole of the Bible?
Jesus came to correct the ways of old ... or so I thought. An eye for an eye is out and Love and Forgiveness was in. Old Testament, New Testament.
I just checked Scripture on Wikipedia ...
It then lists 50 sacred texts/sacred scriptures (some of which might not sit comfortably together) This link is well worth visiting if you wish to access these books.. free.

How does the author know so much about Superior Masons and what they do? Explanations given to 95% of all Masons are wrong ... how would he know that?
This was a bit of good advice imo. Actually reminded me of psychiatry.
Jesus used to talk in parables so the common folk could understand deeper truths.
Maybe Carl Claudy is saying the same thing as Jesus.

Moses and the Brazen Serpent In the Gospel of John 3:14–15, Jesus makes direct comparison between the raising up of the Son of Man and the act of Moses in raising up the serpent as a sign, using it as a symbol associated with salvation: "As Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life". The two Sts John have a special place in Freemasonry.

I suggest it is an indicative statement.
A more correct statement might be that almost all the explanations in the various rituals are wrong - but not so wrong that they cannot serve as a starting point for discovery.
For example the Blazing Star has all sorts of explanations but its name is quite clear. Step outside at night and see if you can see it.

Quite so - but why?
John the Baptist baptised Jesus, and Jesus baptised no one. What does it mean?
Was John the Beloved the same as "the one Jesus loved"? If so John the Beloved was raised by Jesus.

Crowley in his Liber 777 (Table XLII) gives correspondences of Perfumes with the Tree of Life. A copy can be found at www.golden-dawn-canada.com/pdf/liber%20777%20revised.pdf, see p. 31 for perfumes. I have not really experimented with them, but I won't mess with Red Sandal again without additional supervision. Some correspondences are with the sephiroth and others with the paths between them.

I once did a series of meditations using various perfumes - using a mixed box of incense sticks. The highest frequency effect (atmic as I recall) came with Frankincense "It was offered on a specialized incense altar in the time when the Tabernacle was located in the First and Second Jerusalem Temples. ....When burnt it emitted a fragrant odour, and the incense was a symbol of the Divine name ...... A specially "pure" kind, lebhonah zakkah, was presented with the shewbread" en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Frankincense

What might the Tabernacle mean symbolically? That was my thought when reading the above post. Did a bit of a search and found this possible explanation. ichthys.com/Jewish-tabernacle.htm

The concept of a heavenly temple can be literal (based on humanoid gods) and metaphorical (based on a living cosmos).
Both are valid but the latter seems more relevant to spiritual pursuits.
