I once dreamed of a cobra the size of a train zooming towards me, half in/half out of the sand of an Egyptian desert (oasis in the distant background). It towered above me in strike position and time stood still, I could not even think, through terror I believe in hindsight. But instead of eating me, it put its head down to my level and looked me straight in the eye. I am thinking that it was a good omen, but I don't want to go back there to ask - LOL
I have also pondered the idea that dreams are events from past or future lives. In this case it really is a possible event in history. It would stand to reason the deserts had the titanocobra.

The energy of the dream still exists. It is quite possible to step back into the scene and ask the snake what/who it is.

Try the sand in the dream against various places to see if it matches. Try Mars as well.

...ooh, do I have to? Will give it a try. I have not figured out the sand bit Fibon... would appreciate some hints there. I've taken a section from Gematria Sepher Sapphires Volume 1 page 67. ------ ------ חול chowl {khole}. sand. The root of the noun is a verb spelled with the same letters meaning, "to turn round, to twist, to whirl." [Job 29:18]. The birth of the alchemical 1st matter is in the sand (mineral kingdom). Alchemist call this their Phoenix-a spiral twisting motion directly connected with sound and thought. With different pointing: to dance, to twist, writhe. To turn in a circle. Note the letter sequence: fence, nail, ox-goad. Suggesting movement within an enclosure, round a pivot (Vav, like the point in the center of a circle), incited by the law of action and re-action of which the letter Lamed and Key 11 symbolizes. As a masculine noun חול means sand, on account of the whirling pillars of sand familiar to all desert dwellers, which are the source of tales about Genies. Khole, is also the Hebrew name of the Legend of the Phoenix. In Job 29: 18: "and I shall multiply my days as the sand." The Jewish translation is: "and I shall multiply by days as the Phoenix . " וכחול like the Phoenix or sand," is the literal translation. Sands refers to the mineral Kingdom-first substance in the Pythagorean triangle. חול is also the root of the חוילה, "The land of Havilah where there is Gold." [Genesis 2:11] Also: to wait, hope, to fall upon, happen; to be firm, strong. ------ ------ To add to this, the snake twists and turns as it moves, I fully expect that the length of the trail left by a snake to be pi times the direct path, in a similar way to that of a river, which fits nicely with the above etymological connection with circles. In a sense it is a moving circle. Sand is of course created by continuous turning, to grind it down. The vav, like the point of the circle might also be correlated with the teeth of the snake. A "whirling pillar" seems to fit quite nicely as well given the snake being upright, and possibly translating its twisting energy into that upright position also. This is why I like the quoted section from Sepher Sapphires as there is a high density of information that correlates. The half in and out of earth/sand is something I am trying to piece together for my own work, I believe at this time, it is like a conduit at the boundary of two elements.

I will watch out for you! LOL... I can see why you might have to. I'll take all the help I can get. However ... I also gained the impression that the cobra (which moved in a straight line towards me) was associated with the middle pillar of the tree of life. It was also travelling out of Egypt (oasis in background). Leaving it's home ? The after feel of the dream was ok. I did not feel threatened after it looked me in the eye

Was there any sense of which direction it was headed?

Yes straight for me, I was the destination.
Symbolically, Egypt was considered 'the East' so I would say it was travelling West if we have to consider directions. ToL... East would be at the top of the tree and West Malkuth. ?
Mmnn, discovered that there are two side to Aaron's Rod... one side is destructive or testing at the least and the other side all is more benevolent. That fits in well with the Pillar of Severity and the Pillar of Mercy.

Masonically speaking, can we identify the North and South Columns with these two pillars?

The north and south columns in ancient Egypt were seen as denoting the separate power bases of the kingdoms of the lower and upper Nile. Those columns may well have been functional in a technical sense, perhaps as we use mobile phone towers, or perhaps in a defensive manner.

I've been having difficulties with remembering dreams and visualising imagery for a few weeks now, I asked the question last night about how this might improve going forwards. This morning I woke up with one word in my mind phospholipids, luckily I remembered that at least. I had to look it up, and I wasn't sure what to expect. To my surprise phospholipids have some function involving memory amongst other things. I ordered a supplement that contains a particular phospholipid that has been quite well researched in regards to memory function, so I'll just have to wait and see now how that plays out. I am not aware that I knew about phospholipids before the dream and haven't been researching it, so it was a bit out of the blue.
Has anyone else on here had clues to health issues or practical everyday type of stuff from their dreams?

I have always had hard times remembering dreams except occasional recurring ones, involving the tree house I had mentioned in a different thread, a strange modern type of town by the sea (waves vary in height but don't move), and than just tiny bits of all kinds of things. Sometimes its me, sometimes im someone else, sometimes im not even seen. Although I have been having more vivid dreams since about 4 years ago, and most of these were between now and then. Before I was 30 I would maybe remember 1 dream a year, if that.
Except one dream always stood out, and it never repeated. I have written it out here. The word I was left with was "THULE".

Interesting dream! > I have always had hard times remembering dreams except occasional recurring ones If you want to remember dreams, I think a dream journal really helps, keep it next to the bed and maybe a pen that lights up the page so you don't have to turn on the lights, like this Pen with lightAnother important thing is setting your intention before sleep, write down a dream request, or just simply set your intention to remember your dreams.

I have thought this too, but I don't have a problem remembering a dream once im conscious and have the memory of it. When im waking up I can literally see all the images zipping away along with the memories of it. Once im conscious and moving I have what I have and no matter how hard I try I can't remember it. Occasionally I have been able to recall a dream later that day or a couple within the next couple of days. At which point I only recall it because something I did referred the memory of the event in my dream.
Not sure if that makes sense, but the best I can explain it HAHA
Ill try the request thing though! I like that idea a lot!

The thing is when I just try and remember a dream I feel as if I have all that I can remember in my head, but when I write it down (ASAP) other parts of the dream open up and come back to me, and then more dreams. For me at least, the act of committing the dream to paper reveals much more than I would remember just by thinking about it and trying to remember.
