When I read that term 'supernatural powers' I was taken back to my youth when I was taught theology for an hour each school day.
Back then there was a very clear distinction between the nature of the human and those events/capacities beyond (super) that nature.
I do not see such a clear distinction any more and do not see it much in the writings or conversations of others.
So what powers that can be observed in humans would we consider to be supernatural?

There are those stories one reads about in the newspapers about mothers finding the strength to lift cars of their child etc. The rescue crews usually describe these happenings as beyond natural.

Such events are sufficiently common that there is even a TV series "Human Body: Pushing the Limits" www.imdb.com/title/tt1197574/So I am not sure that demonstrations of unusual strength is still regarded as supernatural. Also, it has been remarked that moderately sized monkeys are much stronger than large humans, suggesting that there is a great reserve of strength present in the biology.

I can tickle the cats ear at a distance 'with my mind' and make him react accordingly, but I would think that might be extending the etheric body rather that using any of the higher bodies.

I notice that when I look at people from a distance they commonly look up to see what is going on. This suggests that the human gaze has power at a distance.

Some believed Home was genuine and some not. Here is a list I found of the Holy levitators. Many Catholic saints are reputed to have levitated. For example, the levitation or "flight" as they called it then of St. Theresa was witnissed by 230 Catholic priests. She described the feeling of levitation in her autobiography from 1565. Saint Joseph of Cupertino even levitated in front of Pope Urban VIII. The list of flying saints goes on. Here are some of them:
Saint Alphonsus Liguori Saint Archangela Girlani Saint Catherine of Siena Saint Christina the Astonishing Blessed Christina von Stommeln Saint Dunstan Saint Edmund Rich Saint Francis of Paola Saint Francis Fasani Saint Francis Xavier Saint Gemma Galgani Saint Gerard Majella St. Ignatius Loyola (founder of Jesuit order) is said to have became luminous during levitation. Saint John Bosco Saint John Joseph of the Cross Saint Joseph of Cupertino Saint Ludgardis of Tongeren Saint Luke Thaumaturgus Saint Martin de Porres Saint Michael Garicoits Blessed Miguel Pro Saint Paul of the Cross Saint Peter Claver Saint Peter of Alcantara Saint Philip Neri Saint Robert de Palentin Saint Theresa of Avila Saint Thomas Aquinas Saint Joseph of Cupertino is my favourite. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joseph_of_Cupertino

I am not so sure that levitation is always supernatural. E.g. the party trick for levitation www.unexplainable.net/artman/publish/article_2969.shtmlAnd in any case, how do we know it is a supernatural power? Traditionally nuns that levitated were sent to remote convents. If it was a power then they could have stopped the levitation and not been sent away. There are several mechanisms for levitation and only some can be classified as a power - even then it may be a second-hand power. Anyway I do not know of any Masons who levitate.

And how could I forget dear Padre Pio.. Levitation was just one of his many supernatural abilities. A true saint of our time. After further consideration of Padre Pio's virtues and ability to do good even after his death, including discussion of another healing attributed to his intercession, the Pope declared Padre Pio a saint on 16 June 2002.[29] Three hundred thousand people were estimated to have attended the canonization ceremony. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Padre_Pio

Then the Vatican got it wrong when they made him a saint, despite the rigorous program they have to go through before reaching that stage. Sssh, don't tell the Pope. I trust friar, physician and psychologist Agostino Gemelli is not aniticpating sainthood himself

I guess we could address acknowledged miracles under this heading. The group sighting of the sun doing extraordinary things at Lourdes springs to mind.

miracle, from L. miraculum "object of wonder"
Certainly the sun dancing might be an object of wonder, but I don't know that any supernatural force was involved.

Some may say that me being able to identify several issues of approaching importance to ugle, writing to ugle with them, and offering solutions, which appear to then coincidentally have been implemented in grand master speeches and in policy and procedural changes is supernatural ;D Actually anyone in ugle who has access to my letters to the grand secretary etc can confirm the timeline between my letters and subsequent policy changes, grand master speeches etc. You should be able to find at least three instances. The question is this great minds thinking alike or fools never differing? ;D

Well we know the sun did not actually move otherwise all the planets would have had disturbed orbits. Thus we must look to a localised visual event - partially blocking the sun Or a psychological event of mass illusion.

Do you think that the last post in The Mystery of Numbers thread might be pertinent to this idea?
