We speak of various lights including:
- light of reason - light of the mind - light of the soul - the Christ light - the diamond light of the Buddha - the Light of the World - mystic light - etc.
We speak of being enlightened and of being blinded by the light.
So what light do we seek?
How do we know what light it is that we find?

How about an ‘ah-ha’ light? (Abram became Abra ham and Sara became Sar ah after they saw ‘lights’ ) Your question brought to mind 5 experiences I had with light. When I was 8 mths pregnant I had a small blue pulsing light appear to me twice. Clear as could about 5-6 ft away from me and pulsing away for about 20-30 seconds. Some years later I read of another person having that experience who was told that it was the soul of the child, which apparently hovers around the new mum for a while before birth. ?? The 'light globe' appeared at a truly terrifying moment in an initiatory type lucid dream I had. One of the gargoyle type entities in the dream cathedral congregation had a light globe instead of a head... that was when I knew to call upon the Holy Mother to protect me. This dream was surprising for two reasons; I did not have a particular devotion to Mary and some years later I discovered that another of the Brn in my lodge had the same dream. (Interesting also was that we both had to pass three tests before we arrived at the terror.) The silver blue light I see emanate from the S.. & C.. at each closing of the lodge. Very occasionally I see part of someone's aura. The white light was one brief minute of experiencing being totally inside my head and surrounded by the most beautiful white light (with a hint of gold). I was so astounded I was not aware of thinking anything and no one 'spoke' to me. There was a very definite feeling of Presence though. It was wonderful. As to answering any of your questions.... haven't got a clue. But I know that it is well worth allowing these lights into your life.

>8 mths pregnant I had a small blue pulsing light appear to me twice
It looks to me as if an entity is checking on the welfare of the incoming child
>I knew to call upon the Holy Mother to protect me. This dream was surprising for two reasons; I did not have a particular devotion to Mary
There are various Holy Mothers in the inner realms. This one looks to me like the "mother" who uses the Pleiades as a veil.
>silver blue light I see emanate from the S.. & C.. at each closing of the lodge.
That may very well be Sirius light. Try visualising the light you see and putting it next to Sirius to see what it does.
>most beautiful white light (with a hint of gold)
White with gold undertone is a typical Christ light.
Perhaps you might ask to see the light of the Buddha

So what experiences have we had of different inner lights?

Occasionally, with my eyes closed, I perceive a light some little distance in front and above and to the right of my head.
Do others see similar lights when the eyes are closed?

I see a tiny bright blue light hanging around in my visual field now and again. I also occasionally get flashing light in the region of the third eye when I am in bed with my eyes closed; sometimes the flashes are so bright that I assume that it was lightning flashing through the curtains-but no thunder follows!
In his second book "Lila" Robert Pirsig (of "Zen And the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance" fame) spoke of the "Dharmakaya light"; he said that it indicated that when he saw it that he was meant to "pay attention" to whatever it was glowing around or something of the sort.. It has been a while since I read the book; i will have to look for the exact quote, because I too have seen this light now and again; I seem to recall he said it was GREEN, like a 'green aura" around the person.

Colour of course is important as it veils the nature of the energy.
You may like to test whether your bright blue light is an interface from Venus
I wonder if the flashing light is energy flows across the planet. If so, you may experience some simultaneous tingling in the body

coloured [ˈkʌləd] adj 1. possessing colour 2. having a strong element of fiction or fantasy; distorted (esp in the phrase highly coloured)
Thus colour distorts (veils) energy

The term you are searching for is Energy Spectrum, rather than color. Color is descriptive of the visible light spectrum, and does not explain the concept of energy emission. "In physics, emission is the process by which a higher energy quantum mechanical state of a particle becomes converted to a lower one through a photon, resulting in the production of light. The frequency of light emitted is a function of the energy of the transition. Since energy must be conserved, the energy difference between the two states equals the energy carried off by the photon. The energy states of the transitions can lead to emissions over a very large range of frequencies. For example, visible light is emitted by the coupling of electronic states in atoms and molecules (then the phenomenon is called fluorescence or phosphorescence). On the other hand, nuclear shell transitions can emit high energy gamma rays, while nuclear spin transitions emit low energy radiowaves. The emittance of an object quantifies how much light is emitted by it. This may be related to other properties of the object through the Stefan–Boltzmann law. For most substances, the amount of emission varies with the temperature and the spectroscopic composition of the object, leading to the appearance of color temperature and emission lines. Precise measurements at many wavelengths allow the identification of a substance via emission spectroscopy. Emission of radiation is typically described using semi-classical quantum mechanics: the particle's energy levels and spacings are determined from quantum mechanics, and light is treated as an oscillating electric field that can drive a transition if it is in resonance with the system's natural frequency. The quantum mechanics problem is treated using time-dependent perturbation theory and leads to the general result known as Fermi's golden rule. The description has been superseded by quantum electrodynamics, although the semi-classical version continues to be more useful in most cases." en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Energy_spectrum

My point is that color, or energy spectra, can be used to identify, rather than veil, energy. Think Qabalistically, color is one means of identifying the nature of entities.

Mine is 2 o'clock high also.
So how do we investigate the nature of the light?

I talk to it, but it doesn't answer... I have wondered about the 2 o'clock positioning. When I get extra special stuff via the dream world it is delivered at 10 o'clock position. Occasionally an entity comes in from above and exits stage left but that is the exception. Upper LH indicates higher dimensions to me and of the spirit. RH lower is material world (for me). Upper RH I would guess might have to be an in between state.. guard, guide, angel, deacon of some sort ?? (I view masonic sword handling in similar manner - RH mundane world and personal will, LH higher worlds and will of the GA.

Which reminds me of a particularly interesting dream I once had - of a messenger (riding a Mercury motorbike no less ). He entered the dream from over a hill on the top left (10 o'clock) snaked down and across in front of me and pulling to a halt at RH corner (4 o'clock -everyday life). If you are interested - he snatched what I was reading out of my hand and put a book on Alchemy in my hands - a topic I had not been the least bit interested in at the time. Know a whole lot more about it now.

You might like to try showing that Being a possible action about which you might be concerned. For example if I present to my being the idea of spending all my superannuation upon a property now, it is distinctly dismissive.

... maybe it saw the floods coming, as you did more than a year ago! Mgc might remember our forecasts, made on the The Blue Lodge forum. You saw muddy waters washing over the East Coast of Australia and when you gave me a exercise to do I saw the East Coast covered in heavy dust.
Both happened. Amazing.
I will take your advice above ... the little exercises you suggest yield surprising (to say the least) results. Thank you.
