Let us apply this idea to the problem of everyday existence recognizing that the world is made up of consonantal elements and that the sense centres evolving within ourselves are the vowel points that bring order and sensibility out of the chaos of confusion and ignorance. The thousands of examples to be seen in Nature and life, when reduced to a composite unit, comprise the Bible or the sacred book of creation. As stated before, however, this sacred book was written without spacing between words and without vowels.

I'm fascinated by cymatics, especially in how it may relate to "The Word". One of the higher frequencies in the video I'd included in this recent writing matches my tinnitus; I'd like to think all my cells are re-shaping themselves so exquisitely.
The Word, fairly obviously is a case of "illustrated by symbol", but the symbolic "word" is a valid symbol indicating intent, modulated and directed energy flows, and relationship between source and target.
Cymatics certainly look towards modulated energy flows. There are other approaches too. For example Gustave Le Bon www.rexresearch.com/lebonmat/lebonmat.htm He maintained that radioactivity is triggered by incoming vibrations.
I have not read Manly's book; I will definately look into it as I've read one of the rabbis' books on Kabbala.
I will say however that based off of my mystical experiences, as crazy as it sounds, there are portals that look like doors in outer space and people can go through them into other realms. It's kinda like some of those sci fi films that utilize the symbol of the masonic archway--through it lies another kingdom.
They are carefully guarded however and people have to get spiritual keys in order to access them.
You are in a safe place here. I think Paul might find your experiences of interest.
I had just one experience along these lines. Immediately before gaining full consciousness after sleeping, I felt myself sinking down into a dark grave shaped space. From the mouth of the grave, which was sun filled, were a group of brightly dressed and happy people all waving me a cheery good bye. Not a mournful face amongst them
I could actually still see them for a moment when my eyes were open. Then they faded away. Amazing.
That is when I understood that it is here that we are 'dead' and there that we are more filled with Life.

To the problems of his existence each individual must apply the keys furnished by his own centres of consciousness. With the Qabbalistic keys of wisdom he must make true logic and sense out of the sacred book, vivifying it with his own life – dividing its letters into words by the powers of discrimination. Only when he has done this can the secret of the Sacred Name by understood, and will he realize that incantation and invocation were merely blinds used by the wise magicians of the ancient world to conceal the true spiritual mystery of ceremonial magic.

... there are portals that look like doors in outer space and people can go through them into other realms. ....
Portals are sometimes created in Masonic ritual but I have only seen energy flow through them into the lodge.
One one occasion, when the lodge was not open I saw a portal created and a young man went through it (in spirit). When he came back he was very pleased with the experience - a genuine initiation.
The Qabbalah can never be written nor can it ever be explained to the profane, for its own depths conceal it. Unrecognized and unknown, it stands behind the veil of human ignorance. The impossibility of materially objectifying this sacred science was well understood by the ancient philosophers. This is the true reason why there are so few students of the mystic sciences. Like all great things for which man seeks, the student of the Qabbalah must be prepared to pay the price demanded by Nature for the wisdom he receives.
The unwritten law cannot be learned; it must be evolved within the spiritual body of the aspiring seeker through right thought, right emotion and right action. When the student has actually reached the point of self-mastery, then and then only the vowels assume their correct position; the sacred centres are opened; and the Master’s word – the key to all creation – is found in man the student becomes a Master of the Sacred Name.
